Tennis court and swimming pool meant the teenagers were entertained and happy, whilst being in the heart of the Ardeche for river swimming and canoeing! We only stayed a night as we arrived late even though we had booked for four as the smell of damp was cloying and overwhelming and the accommodation frankly unihabitable. "We stayed at the house for 2 weeks in Aug 24. House was exactly as advertised. Check in process was easy and the owner lives next door and was happy to assist with any issues. He also visited the property early each morning to clean the pool. The location is quite remote but it's very peaceful and has lovely views over the neighbouring vineyards. If you want a quiet and peaceful break deep in the Ardeche then we highly recommend"

The owner is very kind and welcoming and allowed us to charge our Tesla EV in her garage, which made a big difference as we didn’t need to factor in stops to charge on day trips. "This old building has been converted to an attractive and comfortable gite, with excellent views from the garden. It's a long way up the hill so quite cool. Hard to find the right building as we did not have adequate directions. The giveaway is the owner's name on the cover for the electricity meter on the wall alongside the road.
