Rustic Cliff-top Cabin at the Tip of Lake Champlain's Barney Point

"Great location near the bike path. We rented this cabin for a family gathering for my husband’s three siblings and their families. Our niece and her son live nearby, so we had up to 13 gathering for meals and up to 11 adults staying overnight. The kitchen was cozy but well equipped with everything we needed except a crockpot and a muffin pan. The large island was great for setting up meals buffet-style. We ate at the long tables on the screened porch (or “3-season room”), and the weather was beautiful. Would have been tight to dine 13 people inside. The two bathrooms with showers were well equipped with shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. There is a full size washer and dryer in the 2nd (larger) bathroom and plenty of towels. A lovely location and enjoyable, relaxed stay."
"The property description was on point and any questions I had, the owner was very attentive to and quick with replies. The townhouse was clean, efficiently decorated, stocked with a few necessities like kitchen sponge, napkins, paper towels, and first aid kit. Appreciated that they supplied towels, linens and had AC for the two excessively hot days we were there. It is conveniently located to multiple bike paths and a short 15 minute car ride into Burlington for great eats and breweries. Drive-in just down the street which was very cool, and Colchester had it's fair share of excellent places to dine or get fresh vegetables/necessities (Mazza Farm Market). Would definitely return! "
"We stayed for 3 weeks. The view is fabulous, the appliances all in good working order and the proximity to bike paths is fabulous. It is also a quick trip to Burlington. The biggest downside is sharing the dock with the rental next door. The entrance to the beach/ dock is right in front of this cottage. One of the days, there were at least 12 people walking back and forth while we were on the deck. The kayaks, canoe and SUPs are also shared, so there might not be one available when you want it if there is a large group next door. We watch a very small amount of tv but if you do, the streaming capability is nonexistent and the channel options are very limited. This was not a problem to us since we were outside most of the time enjoying the location and deck."
"This accommodation was beautifully clean (thank you!!) and newly updated. It was decorated nicely and had most everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable (firm in the principle bedroom, slightly softer in the bunk bedroom). Just to know: there’s no dishwasher, so expect to hand wash dishes—not terrible at all. We loved the ceiling fans in the bedrooms. We arrived on an unusual and extremely scorching day across most of the Northeast, so the cooling of the second floor, which probably is handled a.o.k. on a typical late June day, with shared A/C unit and/or open windows, didn’t work. While this may have turned some paying guests away, we very much appreciated the great lengths the host went to, to help us break the heat upstairs. Her constant communication and attempted sourcing of a solution was above and beyond—we were blown away. She trusted my husband’s construction and home building skills to put a fix in place, and not many hosts would have allowed or trusted the guests to resolve the problem like that. I get it—folks have been burned on both sides. She bent over backwards so that we could enjoy our brief stay, and it worked. The neighbors were quiet and did not impact our stay. Thanks for the hospitality!"
