"I stayed at this property for 3day/2nights. The staff was amazing. They are some of the nicest kindest people you will meet. We felt safe and learned an enormous amount about the animals in the area. It was my bday and they made me a cake and sang, it was unforgettable. Memories for a lifetime. I wish I could have stayed longer. The reviews do not do this place justice. The accommodations were more than we expected and the game drives were exciting and thrilling. We loved every moment. (One tip: make sure to bring US or Euro, we were short to pay for small items like drinks) "

"The stay was enchanting. Our room overlooked the Mara River, allowing us to watch the hippos bathe daily. The staff was invariably friendly and smiling. Rose, our waiter, was perpetually cheerful. Caleb, in housekeeping, delighted us with charming notes. Moseka, our safari guide, impressed us with his extensive knowledge and knack for finding incredible spots. Nancy, the hotel manager, made it a point to check on us daily, ensuring our satisfaction. In summary, the experience was exceptional, and I am eager to return. "We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Mara Duma in a triple tent. The tent was right on the Talek River and we slept to the sounds of hippos grunting and frogs. The staff were exceptional - warm, friendly, kind and helpful - and went out of their way to make our stay amazing. Food was tasty and home cooked and they catered for my gluten allergy brilliantly - i didnt get contaminated. The only negative is that because the hotel is right next to the Talek gate to the Masai Mara and a very rutted road, the road started being noisy at about 4.30am with lorries bouncing over the potholes...though we were up at 5.30am or game drives anyway so it didnt matter. Would definitely stay here again. Be aware that the fastest road from Nairobi to thehotel goes via the Park - gates close at 7pm to enter the Park."

"My wife and I stayed at Mara Explorer for 6 nights in September 2023. This was our third Safari in Kenya. The Mara Explorer is the most magical and enchanting location for a safari I could ever imagine. Everything was impeccable - the amazingly friendly and professional staff, wonderful hospitality, service, and beautiful food. The tents are an absolute privilege to stay in, especially being woken up to the hippo chorus at each morning! The bed was so comfy - I slept like never before. The drives were just incredible! Witnessing the migration at its peak was a humbling experience. We saw numerous spectacular crossings and the big five. A huge thank you to everyone at Mara Explorer, especially Dominic our guide. Spending several hours a day with him for 6 days was a joy and he tirelessly ensured we found a rhino (on our very last drive!). He is a true gentleman and an expert wildlife guide. I have never experienced 4x4 driving like his - we didn't get stuck once in sometimes very challenging conditions and always made us feel safe and comfortable - as did everyone at the camp. To sum up. If you want a dream 5-star Masai mara safari, choose Mara Explorer. Richard and Katie"

"If you want a great experience in the Maasai Mara then you must stay here. My wife and I stayed at the Naserian Mara Camp for our honeymoon during late September of 2023. Our stay was everything and then some. We saw the Big 5, Hot Air Ballooned over the Mara, ate breakfast in the bush, drank champagne under the stars, saw Kisaru, the baddest cheetah in history, and her baby cubs, got treated like royalty, and had the time of our lives. The rooms are impeccable. The staff unbeatable. The food is top notch. The camp is environmentally conscious. What more could you ask for? Shadrack, the general manager, answered all of my questions, listened to all of my request, and then delivered an amazing experience. Moses was our host during our stay, and I can’t say enough about how excellent and thoughtful he was. Moses is not only a great host, but an even better human being. Our game drivers, Patrick and Clifford, are not just good at what they do, but they are the best at what they do. They are knowledgeable, patient, friendly, and just great to spend hours with driving across the beautiful landscape. They know the Lemek Conservancy like the back of their hand. They care about the animals, and they will care about your experience. Joshua, the chef, will deliver dish after dish after dish that somehow gets better and better each day. He will listen to your preferences, and he will care about your experience. The rest of the crew will be right there to look after your every need"
