Aquabella Hôtel & Spa

"Room was lovely and comfortable. The only comment I have is that the tub is quite slippery and another grab bar or mat would be helpful. The brunch and the breakfast buffets were wonderful with a wide variety of hot dishes, breads , fruits cheeses, etc. Sadly we didn’t get a chance to use the pool or take advantage of the spa. The location was very convenient, with a 3-10 minute walk to all the places we wanted to go to. Uber rides from La Rotonde to Aquabella were reasonable a few times when we were too hot and tired to make the trek back. I’d happily stay here again. Also, we were there during le canicule- the heatwave, and it was always cool and comfortable inside the hotel."

"Beautiful hotel in an exquisite setting walking distance to the center of town. The appointments from the bed to the linens to full shower and actual functioning A/C were exceptional. The pool, large and magical. Staff kind and attentive. One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in and I’ve stayed in many much more expensive. A must for anyone staying in Aix looking for top shelf luxury at a very reasonable price."

"There are some really lovely things about this hotel, including the wonderful gardens, a great pool and a fantastic breakfast. However, for a five star hotel, my deluxe room felt very basic and the bathroom was cramped with no windows and no storage space. The most disappointing thing was the staff. Our experience was extremely mixed we had a very good initial welcome but then a waitress for supper at the pool bar was dismissive and very unfriendly and that was the experience throughout There was unfortunately a fire alarm in the middle of the night when we were there, which caused all guest to vacate their rooms. These things happen but I was against surprised that for a small family run hotel there was no word of apology for the inconvenience verbally or in writing from members of staff. So a mixed day, but for the money, I don’t think I would be back despite the lovely garden and breakfast"

"Great apartment in central location. Very clean and comfortable. Quite large apartment - we only stayed for one night and wish we stayed longer. Close to town center. Parking cost extra but worth it as car stays in underground parking while you can easily walk everywhere."
