"Excellent hotel to explore the downtown area! Close to shops, restaurants, and fun bars. The only downside was no private parking, that said there's fairly close paid parking at the Laugavegur parking garage."

"The Viking hotel is a very unique experience which is what we were looking for. Since we were 4 people in our party we stayed in one of their cottage rooms. Reminded me of girls camp from long ago. It had a loft with 2 single beds and a bunk bed plus single bed on the main floor with a bathroom on the main level. It was very clean as was the main hotel. Staff was very helpful in getting us taxi's and the morning buffet breakfast was very good. They had a resturant on site also that served outstanding food. They even had a couple that sang around the dining room. Very good option to the basic routine hotel experience. "
