Top Akranes Hotel Reviews
Center Hotels Plaza
8/10 Good
"We only stayed there for one night prior to the cruise. Our flight arrived at 8 a.m and were able to get to the hotel around 10 a.m. by the Flybus with hotel transfer (closest bus stop 3 minutes from the hotel). There was a room available and we were allowed to check in right away. We thought we might have to leave our luggages at the hotel and check in after 2 p.m. Our room was one of the rooms at the roof top with a common balcony with the other rooms. Room was clean but not very big. The safety box was located quite high. Staff was nice and helpful. We were offered two vouchers for free drinks (beer, wine, expresso, latte, etc). We did not eat breakfast and checked out at 11 am the next day and the reception called a taxi for us to go to the cruise terminal."
Hotel Ísland - Spa & Wellness Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"We did not use the spa, we just like the room while booking. We were not disappointed, the room was perfect (felt just like home) and the shower was wonderful (fantastic pressure) plus the bed was very comfortable. My only comment would be that the couch is beyond hard and the hanging lamp is placed in the walkway."
Hotel Viking
8/10 Good
"If you want a Viking themed hotel, I don't think there's anywhere else you can find one but this one. The bed was soft and comfortable and it's close to several food options if you don't want to eat in the restaurant. Breakfast options are a little limited, but still good. The warm water comes from the natural hot springs, so it does smell like sulfur. I was assigned to one of the cottages and it was fine, but the shower stall is small. I didn't have much room to move around. The parking lot is very small."
Fosshotel Reykjavik
10/10 Excellent
"Breakfast should be cheaper for and Coffee should be available free in the lobby for guests who stay 2 or more nights or at least one complimentary breakfast! More coffee creamers and sugars in room. Honey as well. Overall spectacular room and facility!"
Hotel Reykjavík Grand
10/10 Excellent
"Great location and helpful staff."
Alda Hotel Reykjavik
10/10 Excellent
"The hotel location, staff, breakfast, and overall experience was great. One small complaint was the sauna was inoperable during my three day stay. If you advertise you have it, then it should be available and should function properly."
Center Hotels Arnarhvoll
10/10 Excellent
"The hotel staff were welcoming and really went above and beyond to support us. The spa area was a mega plus - highly recommend!"
Miðgarður by Center Hotels
8/10 Good
"Love hotel and spa, however not huge fan of the frosted glass bathroom doors that don’t close all the way."
