Family Vacation

We spent 10 days over Christmas and New Years at the house. Very good location, short walk into Akumal, beach club a 3 minute walk away. The beach club was fantastic, the staff were amazing and the food and drinks were excellent. Beach is good, cannot snorkel right there but a short walk and there is very good snorkeling. The house was good but a few issues; not great communication with the manager, not well stocked with essentials (6 rolls of toilet paper, 1 roll of paper towel, no laundry detergent, nearly empty dish soap, water for the water cooler) we did purchase all of those items, but I would expect a better inventory of essential for the price point. There was issues with the drainage for the kitchen sink that we repaired repeatedly. We did report the issue and there was someone that came to “repair” but we had to fix immediately after he left. Overall the house was good but be aware you will need to be prepared for a stay.

Quiet and clean home away from home, between Akumal & Tulum

The condo is spacious and clean. The location is a quick walk (2 mins) to beach access, and to a great Beach Club (Jungle Fish). The closest beach access is more for exploring/walking and not swimming. But, you can swim in the pool at the Beach Club. The closest walk to the beach to swim is about a 15-20 min walk to the Akumal Public Beach. We swam with turtles, paying a local guide there, and it was wonderful. The condo has a kitchen, but you will need to drive to either Akumal or Tulum (closest towns) to get groceries/food. The a/c works great- it gets so cold! Bring extra blankets if you tend to need them! The washer and dryer did have some problematic issues and the management did offer to help us get laundry done. The management was very helpful and easy to connect with and answer questions.

Great place to stay

The neighborhood, the house and everything inside was great BUT the air conditioning system it’s old and smells! Pretty bad for people with allergies it’s a very sharp humid old smell and we could tell it was the ac because we turned it down when were out and the house didn’t smell every time we got back, new filter or something? I has to do a lot of Claritin ….

Very Comfortable

Amazing house in amazing location!

We are a family of 5 and we really enjoyed our stay at this house in the Tao Ocean residences. Beautifully designed, 3 bedroom, 3 bath with all the modern comforts. The rooftop terrace and hot tub was a bonus. The internet connection was top notch. Our concierge Jorge responded to our needs quickly and efficiently. There was a problem with one of the air conditioners one day and it was fixed the next. We feel we really lucked out on the location also. 100 meters from the ocean, you have the access without the exorbitant beachfront price. An easy 10 min walk and you are at probably one of the best beach in the area at Akumal bay, with tons of good snorkeling right from the beach (and sea turtles). When we were not at the beach, we spent our time at local cenotes or visiting the great and cheap eateries in Tulum. We will be back!
