"The property is located in a well kept garden next to a small but beautiful beach. Rooms are well kept and relaxing. The staff are fantastic and always willing to accommodate requests. Food was excellent, particularly the Sri Lankan breakfast. The menu has increased and has a great selection of Western and Asian dishes but is quite expensive."

"We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Golden. We were 2 adults, 3 children so had plenty of space! Susantha & his team were the best hosts. We had a delicious breakfast every morning of fruit, yogurt, smoothies, eggs, omelettes, waffles & hoppers. We also had 2 meals in the villa cooked by the house girls which were delicious, would highly recommend. The garden area is beautiful, right onto the beach. "You will be asked to pay again onsite! Owner claims this site doesn’t pay her. Our choice was find a new place to stay or pay cash. Overall the stay was acceptable. It wasn’t the cleanest, we had a couple cockroaches as well. It was nice that the owner always had bottled water available for sale. The air conditioning in the bedrooms works great. There are a few amenities listed that are not available: shampoo/soap, traditional washing machine and the only bedding provided is a sheet and...

"The location was amazing! But that is about it. The sheets had stains on them, so did the towels, the fridge was moldy and warm, it said breakfast was included which we never got. Happy we only spent a night here, would not have spent more"

The curry was out of this world as well as the pasta 10 out of 10 all around. The room was large and beautiful, you felt like you had the place to yourself very highly recommend!!!"
