"Posting said English and Spanish spoken but the person I dealt with spoke no English. We did ok though. She was a very hard worker and kept the place spotless top to bottom, not just the room. Almost every appliance you could think of was available for your use. Mercado was two blocks down on the same side of the street. Couple of places to get something to eat on the way there. It’s in the heart of downtown San Jose."

"Poor communicator. The night before arrival, we got a call that the parking spot was unavailable, even though it was advertised as having parking. Parking in San Jose is a nightmare. VRBO was of no help. We quickly arranged housing elsewhere. Owner refused to refund fees"

"We enjoyed our short stay here in Alajuela, Costa Rica. Check-in with the friendly security guards was easy. ( You will need to show your passport) The building was immaculately clean. Inside the apartment was nice and cozy. It felt like home. The location really is 5 minutes from the airport.
