"My husband and I spent five nights of our honeymoon at this amazing property and it greatly exceeded our expectations. The home is so charming and the location can’t be beat. It’s close to several small villages and only 30 minutes from Calvi. We really enjoyed our evenings in the hot tub and the views from the deck, as well as falling asleep to the sounds of the stream. "My husband and I had a lovely stay here while we completed several day hikes in Northern Corsica. The owners were wonderful hosts. We really appreciated the bounty they shared from the fruit and vegetable garden on the property. The view from the shared pool was amazing, and the patios were great for relaxing after a long day of hiking. With a rental car, we found it easy to access multiple trailheads for hiking in Northern Corsica, from Losari to Vivario. We would definitely come back here!"

"Nice, basic apartment with everything you'll need for your stay. The highlight for us was the lovely garden area with spectacular views of the Calanche. There's also access to a very nice swimming pool area, although there were so many other things to do, we didn't get the chance to use it! You'll need a car for this apartment and it's about a 5 minute drive to Piana which is a beautiful little village with a tourist office, restaurants and also a good supermarket (open every day up to 8pm)....

"A peaceful, private cottage with a lovely countryside feel. Nice sitting area under the shade as well as full sun lounging area. The fig trees were alive with birds and butterflies eating the ripe fruits, on our visit mid-September. Everything we needed was provided, with good kitchen facilities and a comfortable lounge/reading area. Vero has a local bar but seems to be only open in summer months; the Post Office(located in Town Hall) does not provide stamps for the UK. Nearest supermarket is...

"This is a beautifully modernised and well appointed old house in a small village in the foot hills of the mountains in northern Corsica. Chantal the owner was warm and welcoming and very helpful. Small cafe and epicerie (limited stock) close by, where the atmosphere is very convivial (Chez Margot). Be prepared to negotiate narrow, winding roads and to take your time getting anywhere. Calvi, Ile Rousse and St Florent all just over an hour away; St Antonino and other pretty villages near at hand....

"The property was lovely - had 2 beautiful patios for sitting on - one shaded - and for eating out. It was a short walk to the town and the beach. This area of Corsica is lovely too with lots to see and do, so we had a fabulous week and would definitely go back again."

"The views are breathtaking, and the villa is comfortable, both inside and in the pool/deck area. We had to purchase some amenities; the heated pool was not heated and it was too chilly to swim. The roads leading up to the villa are treacherous; drivers must be very confident! It was quite a drive to get to a grocery store, more than ten minutes. We loved the place and the gorgeous views but could not give a five star rating for these reasons--"

"We had a fantastic week in this pretty little house. The location is fabulous - located near a little river but so peaceful and relaxing. The hosts were welcoming and helpful and we loved being there. It has great views across the valley and just around the corner from a pretty little village. There are all the basic amenities for a stay away - we would definitely consider going back again."

"The only good thing about this property was that it had air conditioning. The bad points about the instructions and the gite were as follows: The map showing the location was inaccurate and we would never have looked into this industrial estate to find the countryside gite that we thought we had booked. "Peaceful, with beautiful mountain views all around, and a variety of birds to observe. We found this a perfect place to base ourselves with easy access to the many spectacular walks nearby. The university town of Corte, ten minutes drive away, has a pleasant atmosphere, quite different to the holiday resorts on the coast. "This is a very special part of the world. We have travelled all over the world and this truly may be the most beautiful area we've ever seen. If you are wanting to get away from it all and experience more rugged Corsica away from the beach resorts, this is an ideal place.
