"Such a fun town. Kevin was great with communication prior to check in. Only drawback was that the air conditioning wasn't working and that wasn't disclosed to us until checkin, hense the 3* on description. Nicola, the property mgr. was great to accommodate with fans. Location was wonderful, quiet neighborhood, close to large grocery store and an easy 10 minute walk to the boardwalk with restaurants and shopping. Would definitely stay there again."

"We had a bit of a problem when we arrived. First, the property address was not entirely correct and our Google Maps and Apple Maps took us to a place about a half mile from the property. We did not have a phone number for Joachim and when we called Homeaway, they couldn't locate him immediately. We found the property on our own by cruising the neighborhood, but had no way to get in. "This is a very well appointed apartment. A good kitchen with a lovely terrace and in built BBQ. As it’s on the ground floor, the access to the pool was really convenient. Parking on street was very easy. Lots of interesting places nearby - Caldas da Rainha can be done by train. Obidos, Bataliha and Santarem all within easy reach by car. Paul was in touch to help with the get in and his communication was always clear and helpful. Would highly recommend and hope to return."

The location provided excellent views but any access from the resort to the beach involved a steep slope or a steep flight of steps so is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. It did not have Satellite TV offering current TV programmes as stated only MEO which offers older programmes."

"Lovely apartment and pool. Spacious and well equipped. A bit more privacy on the big terrace would be nice but it is located right at the entrance to the building. Great location too only 10mins walk to train station, bus stop, beach and shops. Lovely seaside town perfect for families with small kids. Owner very helpful only 10 mins away if needed. Really enjoyed our time in Sao Martinho do Porto."

"The unit was clean and in a good location with ample parking. It was a nice size for our family of four with easy access to the beach (about a 10 minute walk) restaurants and shops. São Martinho is a great beach for families as the cove prevents the really big waves found at Nazare and other beaches. Would definitely return!"

The apartment is above the bay, but you can avoid the uphill walk back from the beach by taking the lift in the tourist office (operates 9am-midnight in summer) . A good location for getting about the area if you have a car, but do your research about the toll roads to avoid any unnecessary charges/ fines (note that as far as we could ascertain there is no way to pay unpaid tolls once you leave Portugal !!) "A good sized appartment within a villa, lots of space. Rented out as a sole occupancy, so pool and facilities were just for us. Fantastic views over beach and village, which is 10-15 minutes walk depending if you are going down the hill or up. Lots of steps in the property, but lower ground garage is converted for a comprehensive games room.
