"This charming cottage is right on the beach, which you will pretty much have to yourself in the early morning and evenings/nights. It was also quiet all day on the Sunday we were there. The patio is stunning. There are fantastic restaurants so close you can see them from your patio. You are about at the half-way point on the Seven Hanging Valleys Trail, an easy walk to Praia de Marinha (1/2 hour tops). We were always able to find free parking just above the cottage. The Villa is old and rustic, authentically Portuguese with antique but adequate furniture. "We had a wonderful stay - Lemon Tree Cottage is a perfect base for exploring this beautiful area. Trevor and Alicia are fantastic hosts and provided everything we could possibly need for our holiday - from towels for the pool to deck chairs and beach umbrellas and even a cool box for picnics. They live on site so are nearby to sort out any issues - particularly useful if you lock yourselves out on the first day, as we did!
