I booked this place at a last minute because a wildfire started nearby our previous hotel. We drove in the middle of night to get out of wildfire area and got this place at midnight..check in closed at 9pm but we explained our situation to the manager , and she let us stay.
The next day morning, we wake up to find us in the midst of trees, vineyards with pool and breakfast. So peaceful and quiet compared with the rest of tourist towns. So...

"Very rural, difficult to find staff or officeâŠ. But once thatâs accomplished the place is great. Rooms are large, good linens and bedding, pool area delightful all in a unique setting. The breakfast delivered to your room in a picnic hamper is wonderful.
The restaurant wasnât open when I was there, as a caution, bring groceries, you will have a full kitchen. "
"Don't get me wrong, the hotel amenities are really nice and breakfast is okay, but both our rooms were right on top of the cafe and while the cafe was open (until around 12am) and as soon as the employees started coming in at around 5.30am there was no sleeping. I mentioned this at the reception and they didn't seem surprised or chocked about the fact that we didn't sleep well at all. Very disappointing."

"We stayed here for 2 nights and it was alright for what we needed it for. Nothing special.
We didnât realize just how in the middle of nowhere it would be. Itâs quite remote and the country roads to get there are a bit tricky to navigate at night. We were exploring comporta for the two days that we were there but itâs about a 40 min drive so if youâre thinking of exploring comporta just keep that in mind.
Also, there are no doors in the bathroom which we did not enjoy.
Lastly, the room itself had some things that needed fixing. For example, the bottom of the door was completely falling off and the floor which is made up of some type of cork looked like it needed a refresh - it was stained on multiple areas.
The breakfast included was also just ok - the eggs were cold and so was the bacon. We got to breakfast at 10 AM so I guess if youâre an early riser it mightâve been warm but they could also invest in better equipment to keep the food warm for the rest of us that are jet lagged and not up at the crack of dawn.
Overall, it was just an ok experience. "
"The property and staff is OUTSTANDING! Gorgeous! Fabulous service and surroundings!!! ONLY ISSUE is you cannot leave the property to go to dinner or to the beach without paying 110 euros to get there and back. They should have a shuttle to Comporta but do not. No offense to the team it is a gorgeous hotel, pool, restaurant, etc!"
