"Very comfortable and great views"

"Great upside down hotel. Only downside is noise from dinjng room above 1st floor rooms as people mive chairs etc but no big deal. Helpful staff and great location with fab views over the reservoir. No outside space though. Recommended."

"Lovely hotel with a fantastic aspect. Staff were exceptional and very friendly, Juan was a gem and could speak English. The room was spacious but not a lot of storage so had to live out a suitcase. Airconditioning decided to stop sending out cold air on the second last day. But weather was a little bit cooler only about 32. Swimming pool was lovely to jump into after travelling around. The restaurant had a nice breakfast not huge but nice and the evening meal was very Spanish some lovely dishes but not a vegetable in sight. Their homemade butter is delicious. I would recommend this hotel to anyone it was overall a very good stay and thoroughly enjoyed the fact it was all Spanish"

"This hotel is a comfortable oasis in the wonderful village of Gaucin. It has a long history of accommodating guests and under these new owners has been upgraded to include good wifi and a wonderful restaurant on the main level. The room was beautifully decorated and looked out over the mountain range and towards the rest of Gaucin. Breakfast buffet each morning was delicious with freshly baked croissants and a host of other offerings. The staff was very friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. Highly recommended!"

Add to that a MOST welcoming and pleasantly UPBEAT staff, and one knows that THIS, the stay at the Parador de Arcos will never be forgotten. "The grounds of this property are beautiful and well kept. I felt like there could have been more information provided about the history of the buildings and location. The room was clean and decent but there was only one outlet on each side of the bed which had the bedside lamps plugged in so you had to choose between charging devices or a lamp (not the end of the world) the breakfast was lovely and we ate at the restaurant one of our two nights . The food was decent but not anything special. The location of the hotel is gorgeous and so much to do within a 10-15 minute drive. My only true complaint would be that the mattress was old and uncomfortable. If they upgrade that and possibly open a bar/lounge in the area they have appointed for it, as well as upgrade their existing food choices for the restaurant it would be a special place. Definitely not disappointed with my stay"
