In the north part of the Marrakech souks, the Maison de la Photographie displays some of its collection of 4500 vintage photographs from the 1870s to the 1950s.

It's a peaceful spot with a lovely roof terrace with views across the medina, where there's a cafe where you can get a mint tea or a lunchtime tagine.
