"A great place if you want to be 'off grid' for a bit. Lovely location and accommodation with great wide views. All the staff were very polite and nothing was too much trouble. "What can we say this place took our breathe away! Such a beautiful setting with the accommodation set right amongst the natural surroundings of how these animals should be seen. The staff again like at Tsala in Plettenberg were amazing and can’t do enough to help you during your stay and after too. "Simply outstanding hotel near Addo Elephant Park. Special mention for Edwin on front of house who accomodated our dietary needs perfectly. The food was simply spectacular at both breakfast and dinner and the setting overlooking a pond with weaver birds is very special. The photos dont do justice to the welcome you receive as the futnishings are a little old school, but the room size and facilities are very good. Trips to Addo on their landcruiser were easy and trouble free. "

"This property is located right on the Sundays River. I believe they also have canoe rentals. Great location, we could safely walk to dinner at Grunters, good food. The hosts were lovely and had lots of knowledge of the area. We went Sandboarding on the Alexandria Dunes - great fun. The shower was huge and beautifully tiled, but it had no privacy! Not a big deal, just good to know :)"

I feel they tried too hard to provide very fancy food that did not quite come off and this could be improved. They do not have the Big 5 but there is plenty of game to see and the Ranger is excellent. This is a fantastic location for a honeymoon or just a peaceful getaway in the Eastern Cape Bush."

"We had a fantastic 3 days at Addo River-View Lodge. Our hostess, Leanne, was fabulous and very helpful and informative. The proximity of the location to Addo Elephant Park was ideal and we booked a guided full day tour there. We also enjoyed a sunset boat trip on the Sundays River and climbed the sand dunes. The local restaurant, Taste of Africa, was excellent and less than a 3 minute walk. Highly recommended."
