I stayed at the hotel for three nights and noticed that the bed covers were not changed and that I was still provided with the same towel from the previous day. I went to the front desk to inquire about this m.
There were three staff members present. One of them explained that the bed covers are not changed every day and attempted to clarify the hotel’s policy. However, I informed her that when I checked in, I was asked whether I wanted daily housekeeping service, and I clearly said yes. I was also told that I could request housekeeping if needed, which was explained to me at the time of check-in.
During our discussion, another staff member who was standing nearby interrupted and asked me if I change my bed covers every day at home. I found this comment highly inappropriate and disrespectful. I was very angry and told her that she could not ask me such a question, as it was not acceptable to speak to a guest in that manner. I was shocked and hurt; this was the first time I had ever heard such a comment from a staff member, and I travel frequently.
I understand that some hotels in France do not automatically change bed sheets every day. However, customers deserve to be treated with respect. Being asked a personal and irrelevant question was upsetting and unprofessional.
I was also very disappointed that no apology was offered at the time. This experience ruined what had otherwise been a long and tiring day. I strongly believe that guests should always be treated resp"
