Blue Spruce Cabin Sum
Summary:
Nestled in the beautiful rocky mountains is historic Ferncliff, Colorado. Come experience wellness in the wild and your home away from home with shared hot tub and a family friendly cabin with everything you could need to escape to the mountains. Ferncliff sits just 20 minutes away from the town of Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park, known for their rustic mountain charm and incredible hiking/sightseeing.
The Space:
The Blue Spruce Cabin offers a master bedroom with a king bed and a upstairs loft area with one twin bed and a queen bed and and area just for the kids. The cabin boasts a large master bathroom with a unique walk in shower and luxury amenities. Additionally, there is powder room as well. The cabin also has a large kitchen offering an cooktop/oven, large fridge fit for the whole family, living room area with a wood burning fireplace. There's also a deck out back for relaxing and taking in the amazing mountain area. The room has access to our community hot tub which is shared with a few other rooms. We're fully pet friendly, there's just a $35 one time pet fee per pet charged at booking.
Guest Access:
Your stay at Blue Spruce will be contactless, but we do have staff on call to help with any requests. 48 hours before your arrival you'll receive detailed check-in instructions including your code for the smart locks. There is no front desk on property. You'll have access to your reserved cabin, as well as the community hot tub area and deck.
The Neighborhood:
Directly across the street from the property there's Ferncliff Food & Fuel, which is a small supermarket and gas station for any essential needs. In the summer, they're fully stocked with everything from toiletries to meats and pizza. There is also a laundromat across the street as well as a a liquor store with a great selection and 2 fuel pumps. There's a back entrance to Rocky Mountain Park a few minutes down the road as well as the entrance to Long's Peak. Within 15 minutes you'll find some of the best hiking and wildlife Colorado has to offer.
Getting Around:
We recommend renting or bringing a car to best explore the surrounding areas. There isn't any public transit in the area until you get to Estes Park or Lyons. During the winter months, we strongly recommend a AWD or 4WD car whenever going to the mountains.
Other Things to Note:
Ferncliff isn't a big mountain town, so we recommend bringing anything you need with you for your stay. If you forget anything, there's always the market across the street. Ferncliff is a rural town which means there's no cell service, but we do have high speed Starlink Internet on the property.
Interaction with Guests:
When arriving at the property you will drive up Penny Ln until you see the 3 hotel style rooms in one structure. You can park up on the right in a parking space, or parallel to the building, making sure not to block the road. Head to you unit, press the Yale logo, and put in the last 4 digits of our booking phone number or the code that was previously sent to you. If the lock gives you any trouble, try entering the code again while slightly pulling the door towards you.

Our stay was good! Would have liked to have some more dishes and eating utensils in the kitchen as we cooked some meals while we were there. Access to everything we wanted to do was good. Very clean and access to host via text was great!
We had a great time at this cabin! The location was perfect, close enough to Estes Park and RMNP, but quite and secluded. The shop across the street was convenient for any forgotten items. WiFi was great, host responses were super quick and helpful. The kitchen could use a few more tools - we bought and left a cheese grater :) I would suggest adding a cookie sheet to the provided items. We would stay again!
