Complete Scam

I booked my reservation for 1 night in May several months in advance. When booking, I explained that the reason I was staying was because myself, my wife, my friend, and our 4 pets were moving from the USA to Spain. We needed a place to stay after our very long travel day before beginning the 10 hour drive from Portugal to Spain.I contacted the host the day before to touch base and heard nothing. Contacted several times in several different ways the day of and heard nothing back. I ended up having to contact VRBO customer service and when they contacted the host, he said someone was already staying there so it was not available. Vrbo refunded my payment and I had to find another place to stay that would accommodate all of our pets last minute. This was the last thing we needed after a 20 hour travel day. Do not trust this host.
