I really enjoyed my stay here. The place was clean, safe, and quiet. A lovely lady named Aruzhan kindly helped us get an early breakfast. The food was excellent, and the service was great. The air conditioning worked perfectly too! I highly recommend this place
This was a nice hotel. It is tucked away off of a larger road, making it quiet yet conveniently located. The pool and sauna facilities are nice and the breakfast is good!
this is our third or fourth stay at Kazzhol Hotel in Almaty on Gogol Street. We've greatly enjoyed this hotel It's comfortable, staff is helpful, the location is great with a large mall nearby. Breakfast is also excellent.
The Hotel kazzhol is off the main roads so it’s a bit quieter. It’s in a nice area of the city and it’s very convenient for getting everywhere using Yandex taxi. There are also shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. The room was spacious and comfortable, the staff were helpful and pleasant, and there are lots of choices for breakfast. Very pleasant!
Stayed in room 622. Excellent experience. Fantastic room, although some of my friends were placed in the older section that was not as nice. Balcony was awesome. Buffet food always cold, Salt restaurant leaves much to be desired both food and service wise. Took one hour from the time we ordered food until we received it. Decent prices.
Value for money, breakfast was good and no hassles kind of place. Property has great views of the Shymbulak alps and rooms had a balcony with table and chairs.
Property is a bit tired and dated but otherwise it’s fine, reception staff spoke English
The hotel is pretty old. I stayed two days and there were many small issues: no drinking water at arrival. dirty bathroom, housekeeper entering the room without knocking, finally, no hot water when I was leaving the hotel at 5am in the morning .. Kazzhol Park Inn was the way better.
Hotel was reasonable price and well located. The booking was for a twin room but double room provided so had to use the couch as second bed. Slow to get service to the room for sheets, duvet etc. perhaps a little understaffed at the hotel. Rooms were clean and well maintained and spacious. Pool is nice, gym is lacking equipment.
Booked 3 nights before joining a Tour that had another 2 nights here at start and end of the trip. Originally booked a room with balcony, but had to change dates, and upgrade to Jnr suite due to unavailability of date on Expedia, which I assumed also had balcony. No fault of hotel this, but I had to downgrade again on arrival to get the balcony, (at same price) but was able to keep that room for the first 2 tour nights. The last 2 were in a standard room.
No kettle in either, safe did not work in first, rooms not serviced or only partially, on several days. Rooms dirty. Food hygiene at SALT at breakfast was awful, with staff handling foods with bare hands touching their faces and noses, and guests having to handle food too, as lack of utensils. Restaurant dirty, uncleared tables, and smell of stale food/fat permeated hotel all day. Dinner in restaurant was just as poor, stale salads and breads, poorly cooked meat. Restaurant didn't have most of their advertised drinks. Bar unmanned. No outdoor space.
One receptionist, who appeared to be management, was excellent; Thank-you to her. Others were friendly, but clueless, and far from helpful. No porters, no aircon in restaurant, air con in 2nd room was ineffective. Its quite a walk to decent restaurants and bars. Smoking Area outside hotel rarely cleaned. There was even a pair of women's knickers thrown on the floor in front of the second entrance, among the piles of litter. No security, anyone could wander about.
