"We clearly didn't read the small print because the advertised cafe, bar and restaurant were closed. There are no shops around, we had driven 8 hours and were hungry and thirsty so had to drive for miles to the nearest town for bread and cheese. The place was stiflingly hot, the air conditioning in the bedroom didn't work, the basin in the bathroom was blocked, the shower was so small one couldn't swing a proverbial cat. "Check in was a bit of a chore but room was clean says dog friendly but not aloud in bar or cafe Breakfast was ok but cheap bakery items "

"Really beautiful hotel, converted from the home of a religious order. lots of public space, especially in the cloister and the chapel which is now the dining room. We had a spacious room that had a private patio. The staff were super nice and helpful and the food was great."

"The food at the restaurant was amazing. After a long drive and a small emergency we stopped here late at night for a sleep. They fed us and even helped us find a taxi in the morning, making over 30 calls to get us a ride out. Thank you to all the staff for the service and care. "
