"Very sweet hotel in the middle of everything. Helpful staff (Catarina & Maria E.). I expected it to be very noisy, it wasn’t. Had an odd smell, I think it was the cleaning fluid. I did not have breakfast there, too many other choices very nearby. Elevator broken when I visited, but only had to do one flight of stairs. Might have been an issue with lots of luggage or immobility issues."

"Lovely hotel with beautiful pool and rooftop terrace & bar. Excellent location, only 5 mins into historic centre, and staff were very friendly and helpful. The only complaint would be that we were on the ground floor, in one of the rooms behind reception, and we were right above the breakfast room. This meant that from 7am onwards all we could hear were chairs being moved back and forward and it was really quite loud. We didn’t realise it was the breakfast room until the 2nd day and by then there wasn’t really any point us asking to change rooms, but it was quite disturbing and woke us up as the noise was constant until about 10am when breakfast must have finished. Would perhaps recommend asking to change rooms if you end up in one of the ground floor rooms, at least if you’re a light sleeper! But honestly other than that we loved the hotel and Cordoba itself."

"I’ve always wanted to stay in a Parador, Spain’s state-owned collection of luxury hotels, many housed in historic buildings or exceptional locations — so expectations were high when we booked the Parador de Córdoba. Thankfully, it didn’t disappoint. The setting is superb, overlooking Córdoba with beautiful gardens & wonderful views across the city. The hotel was clean throughout, the staff were friendly and accommodating, & the plentiful free parking was a real bonus. The highlight was the huge swimming pool, set within the private gardens at the front of the hotel. With a lifeguard on duty, plenty of sun loungers & even a dedicated changing, toilet & shower block, it was an excellent place to escape the Córdoba heat. Free beach towels were also provided. Our 4th floor room was large, quiet & very comfortable. The only slight issue for us was the bathroom, where a walk-in shower would have been preferable as getting in & out of the bath to use the shower was a little awkward. We enjoyed a very good meal in the hotel’s large restaurant on our first evening, making the most of the convenience of dining on site. Our only real criticism was the lack of complimentary bottled water in the room or a water cooler in reception. With temperatures exceeding 40°C during our stay, easy access to chilled drinking water would have been particularly welcome. Overall, the Parador de Córdoba provided a memorable stay in a fantastic setting!"

"Great location, easy to walk to all the main tourist places. Don’t expect a kettle in the room. Breakfast is ok, bit takes a while between things running out to being replenished. Good hotel but needs to be modernised."
