"I was a bit disappointed upon arrival to see the green algea covering part of the lake at the shore line. I really thought we could swim, but it wasn't to be at the house. After seeing the lake in the morning sun, I could see the beauty of the natural setting. It was stunning at sunrise and at sunset. We did get to see a Great Blue Heron fishing in the algea as well as some ducks and turtles. There was every kitchen gadget available for cooking and eating, with the exception of a ice cream...

"Our stay was over the Labor Day weekend. We arrived late in the dark and were surprised at the view we had in the morning!! Absolutely beautiful view from the property of Lake Huron. We made a path to the lake to do some kayaking out to this little island full of rocks! It was us, the birds, and rocks! The house itself does need work. The owner purchased this property a few weeks prior to our stay. He was very responsive and took my suggestions to heart. I reserved from giving this rental...

"We have family in the Rogers City area and this home was a great central base for us to visit relatives and take advantage of the lake and downtown. The listing was accurate and parking very convenient. The host was very responsive and helped us a great deal during our stay. My elderly aunt and mom are already talking about next year. Our only wish would be for handrails on the porches and possibly in the bathroom, but we know not everyone needs to worry about these issues."
