"First of all the view is as stunning as on the photos and Marcos is a fantastic host.The house is a good location overlooking the river between Porto (1h10mins) and the central wine region (1h45mins). Hiring a car from the airport and driving around Porto and region was all very easy and the autoroutes are amongst the best in the world.Unfortunately, we were very unlucky with rubbish weather at the end of October so the unheated pool wasn't used, which was a shame.We did have a bit of confusion around the bed arrangements and Marcos has been made aware of listing issues. If not updated there are 3 bedrooms, all of which had a double bed and single futon and one also had a bunk bed (so suitable for a family of 5). There is also a sofa bed in the lounge.Its a stunning house and location. I actually think Marcos could charge a lot more money with a few relatively small improvements. 1) Upgrade and standardise bed sheets and kitchenware so its bit less of a mish mash and a bit more luxury, 2) Replace the TV with a smart TV for access to netflix etc..., especially as the wifi is excellent 3) Provide a few more cooking and cleaning essentials and maybe a bottle of local wine on arrival. We bought and left a lot behind but i think that the previous guests possibly cleared everything out.It was a wonderful stay, despite being very unlucky with the weather and hopefully these bits are helpfull to adding more value to your property in the future. "Our host was helpful. It was great to have a swimming pool overlooking the Douro. The house has air conditioning which was good as the outside temp was over 30C! The kitchen has all equipment to prepare meals. We were glad my husband is a good driver on very curved roads!"

"This is a super house to stay in, 10 minutes walk to a great beach with a bar and at the weekends kayaks and paddle boards to hire. There is also plenty of shade.The house itself is well equipped and comfortable.Miguel is a perfect host and is very speedy in his communication.It is by itself and very quiet. Our adult family had a great time staying here."

"We loved the property.The lemon, orsnge and other fruit trees right outside your door. The view of the lush valley from every window and balcony. The uniqueness of the house. The kindness of our host. The sparkling clean home. There is so so much to love. The pool, views and river are stunnnnnnning. Being able to kayak on the Duoro ?! Priceless. The host was SO KIND & lovely. Just very little communication prior to checkin.The house is located about 5 minutes from a town and some fantastic restaurants. Just fyi; the roads are cobbled, narrow & windy. It’s a quaint and beautiful area.The issues:The checkin process was so much harder and confusing than it needed to be, but not enough to deter us from returning (more below)The pool is not just 500m away. It is a 10 minute walk along the road (which is quiet), down a driveway and passed the hosts main place of residence. It is a completely different property than where the rental is located. During busy times the pool and water toys would be shared with 3 other homes. My suggestion would be to have a checkin section completed by the host to make it easier for both guests and host. The house number was covered by a plant, so we guessed we were in the right spot based on photos. Inside the name of the house vs the information about the house were different - so thought we had walked into someone else’s house. No where is there direction to the pool and river (which was our main pull for this part of our holiday)"
