"Wonderful setting. We were the only guests and felt very welcomed by Sarah and her staff. Stayed in the Bridal Suite in the castle tower. Such a lovely room and nice view of the rest of the castle tower from the bedroom window. Beautiful grounds to walk around. A very special night away. Breakfast was continental but a huge choice and the local honey from Peggy's bees was so delicious and can be purchased on site. "Exceptional breakfast buffet, with all the true to form expected delicacies. Staff was professional and ever so polite. Dinner at the bar ran a little expensive. That’s my only mild to complaint. Walking distance from a pro rugby pitch if that’s of interest."

"The resort was beautiful but the Derwent Hotel itself badly needs updating to bring it to the standard of the other 3 hotels. That being said the price paid did reflect this and overall we had an enjoyable visit. The reception staff also need a lesson in customers service a friendly approach works much better."
