10/10 across the board! The cabin was a great experience. The hot tub was amazing. They have their own store near by with lots of goodies. They were very helpful with any questions we had. Would come here again!
Everything was excellent, except for the VRBO communication redactions (not Lisa's fault at all). Will definitely return. Highly recommend this cozy getaway. Cute, cozy and very romantic.

This place is beautiful! It had everything we needed. The hosts were very communicative and encouraged us to contact them if we had any questions. We stayed at the treehouse to celebrate our 30th anniversary and it exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend this cozy and quiet retreat.
My husband and I had a great weekend at Owl's Nest. The space was small, but cozy and the space was so well thought out in every way. It was meticulously clean, the lighting was magical, the hot tub was so cozy, and the host was very thoughtful in providing k-cups and local syrup and honey! Even though the cabin is on the same property as another house, it felt secluded. If you stay at this cabin, I definitely recommend going to L.A. Burdick in Walpole and having dinner at Wunderbar in Bellows Falls!
Treehouse was just as the pictures and description portray. It was clean, quiet and peaceful. My wife and I stayed at the Owl's Nest Treehouse for just a quick one night get away. It was the perfect spot for some quiet time alone and a soak in the hot tub. The check in process was as simple as it gets, and the owners were very responsive to the few questions we asked. For dinner we went to Springfield VT (about a 30 min drive). You can probably find something a little closer, but Alstead is very small and not a lot of dining options close. For breakfast we had brought along a small quiche that we heated in the air fryer, some yogurts and fruit and enjoyed the coffee they provided. I would definitely consider staying again for another quiet getaway.
We loved our stay at The Owls Nest! The location was very private, and everything was exceptionally clean. Perfect for a quick weekend getaway to relax. Would highly recommend for a couple looking to enjoy a quiet weekend.
We absolutely love this little treehouse. It was very well kept tidy and clean, treehouse, and the hot tub. We highly recommend to everyone!! You definitely have to check out the little farm stand!! Definitely a five out of five stars.
My husband and I stayed two nights to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. From start to finish, this trip was amazing. The treehouse was tucked back into the woods with plenty of privacy. The pathway lights and the lanterns surrounding the lower deck area was gorgeously inviting. We made our way inside and were absolutely blown away by how beautiful it was! Everything was pristine, updated appliances, sweet and simple decor. The rainfall shower head was incredible. The hot tub was clean and an absolutely perfect way to relax. The lighting around it made it so romantic and magical. We were close by to a couple cute towns in Vermont where we went to dinner. But far enough off the beaten path to hear the crickets chirping. And don’t forget to visit the farmstand on the property and get some of Lisa’s homemade donuts because they were THE BEST donuts we’ve ever had, we bought all of them before we went home We have and will continue to recommend this place to any and all of our friends, and we will for sure be back in the future! Thanks so much Lisa for sharing your beautiful space with us!!
What a charming location! The pictures were excellent but nothing can do justice to the warmth and efficiency and coziness of Owl's Nest. It's absolutley PERFECT for one or two people looking for a quiet retreat to read, write, enjoy nature, or just spend quality time. The hosts were very kind and responsive whenever necessary but stayed well out of the way. Some advice for those choosing this delightful abode!1 - Keep it simple - there isn't a lot of storage space so don't pack a ton!2 - Be willing to drive (Bellows Falls is GREAT!) or just chill; Alstead isn't full of lots of commerce ...which is why it's nice!3 - If you want to use the kitchen (and I did!) check ahead to be sure what they have. Since space IS at a premium evne tho the tiny oven and three burner stove and double wide sink were GREAT, and there were plenty of plates and other kitchen implements, there may not have been a couple things like a measuring cup or a strainer. But I enjoyed getting creative and made a great spiced paella kinda stew with spanish rice, pineapple chicken, garbanzos, and leftover mussel broth from my dinner out the previous night. It's fun being creative!
