"We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Krone. The hotel was exceptionally clean, modern, and very well maintained. Everything felt fresh, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. Check-in and check-out were both quick and completely hassle-free, which made the whole experience even better. The staff were friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful whenever we needed anything. Their hospitality really stood out and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Overall, Hotel Krone exceeded our expectations. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, modern, comfortable hotel with excellent service. We would happily stay here again!"

"A great value and clean hotel for a quick stopover right in the middle of town. The self check in was easy and clear comms from the staff by email. Great to have a Nespresso machine in the room and a communal lounge with fridge etc too. 5 mins walk from Altstätten Stadt station on the lovely mountain railway to Appenzell and beyond. 20 mins walk or quick bus to Altstätten SG mainline station so easy to get around without a car. Single ensuite room was clean and compact but comfortable with ab big window, a small fan and no air conditioning so was rather hot in the summer heatwave! Otherwise a great hotel and excellent value for Switzerland."

"Everything nice except for: Smelling cigarette ashtray full of butts at the balkony. No shielding against the sun and heat, non-functional exterior shading, the temperature increased a lot afternoon and opening windows cannot help. Missing placemats on the table, which I had last stay. Only 2 hangers in double room. Dangerous showering in bathtube, slipery, better to book the room with the shower only instead of tube, it means, do not book superior double room. There's an oven, but no baking sheet, for making pizza, for example."
