"Bukela is a beautiful stay, facilities are great, friendly staff and our ranger (Sim) was very knowledgeable. Foodwise is really below average, just not good especially for a 5* resort. It felt like diner was prepared during the day and heated up in the evening, just not fresh. Breakfast was really poor. Only meal that was good was the lunch. No snacks during the day. Due to this matter i will not likely to visit Bukela again nor reconmend to anyone which is regretful as the staff and facilities...

"Staff and guides were all excellent and thoroughly enjoyed the drives. Lodge and food also excellent and we met some fantastic people, however we very very disappointed with our accommodation. We had expected an individual lodge in a private and peaceful setting however we were situated in a lodge attached to another lodge just above the main lodge and kitchen block. So we could constantly hear noise of the kitchen preparations, plates and bins being emptied and staff singing and talking rather...

"Lovely lodge in Amakhala reserve. Easy to find, great animals and fantastic staff and food "

"This hotel is aware of our unfortunate experience. They are dealing with it in a positive manner."

"Great food, great game drives with knowledgeable drivers. The drivers are wildlife experts and were happy to answer any questions (and we had a lot!). I really hoped to see the giraffes up close and our driver delivered!"

"Too expensive for the value. The roof is not tight when it rains. "

"Absolutely incredible stay from the moment we arrived until we left. The staff really look after you. James our guide for the 3 days we were there was great. The food is so nice and there is lots of it! We really couldn’t fault any of it! Thank you all at Founders Andrew & Nicola"

"Very helpful staff; great rooms; tasty & plentiful food & drinks; excellent safari guide - Desmond- who was informative & resourceful."

"Everyone was so kind and made us feel special "

"Hopewell is potentially a stupendous destination. Accommodation was excellent and luxurious. I feel they tried too hard to provide very fancy food that did not quite come off and this could be improved. They do not have the Big 5 but there is plenty of game to see and the Ranger is excellent. This is a fantastic location for a honeymoon or just a peaceful getaway in the Eastern Cape Bush."

"The room was amazing and the staff are super knowledgeable and friendly! We would stay here again! We were able to see all of the animals on our first game drive and that made the trip! Thank you again for making our vacation so memorable!"

"From the moment we arrived we were spoilt and everything was so perfect every little detail was taken care of All the staff were so helpful kind and friendly our ranger was fantastic and so knowledgeable and caring towards the animals The lodge we stayed in was so perfect I cried with happiness when I saw it and the perfect views we had we were in lodge B Thank you so much for our lovely stay we only wished we had booked for longer and the food was exceptional"

"Was left stranded outside the gate with no access no instructions. Gate would not open even though wr drove up to it. Phone lines dead. Had no option but to drive away feeling very sad and extremely dissapointed. Drove off into the dark desert looking for a last minute booking which ended up being 1.5 hours drive away. Management said no refund once they finally contacted us in a new telephone number that neither us or hotels.com had been provided with. Still waiting for some sort of apology...

"We have never stayed anywhere quite like it. Absolute luxury, complemented by the most attentive, courteous and professional staff we have ever encountered. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel truly special and cared for in the most extraordinary way. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, and nothing was ever too much trouble. The food was simply exceptional, with world-class cuisine worthy of a top chef, whether it was breakfast, lunch, high tea or dinner. Every meal was an...

"A really lovely and relaxing place to spend a few days whilst visiting the game reserves. Very attentive staff, a large and comfy bedroom A lookout deck, pool, hammock and outdoor seating area are all lovely, and would be fabulous in warmer weather. Three course dinner (set menu) was delicious and all home-prepared on site. The dining room is also very nice, and we were seated right by the fire - very welcome in August. The shower did go cold on us twice, but I think in winter it's harder...

"Very nice and quiet place to stay when going to Addo national park. "

"From check-in to checkout our experience was first class. Breakfast was cooked to order and was delicious. The property is very quiet and comes with a private dock on the river. We definitely recommend staying here. "

"Our stay at Quatermain’s was one of the highlights of our three-week trip through South Africa. Julie was incredibly accommodating and made every request feel easy. Jess and Kyle were excellent game-drive guides—engaging, attentive and clearly passionate about what they do. Nick’s warm hospitality made us feel completely at home, while Riaan’s incredible knowledge brought every part of the walking safari to life. The camp’s thoughtful comforts were equally memorable. The hot-water bottles...

"Outstanding staff in a fabulous location. Safari trips were productive each day with many species represented."
