"This property would seem to work better for families with small children. We were a 'all adult' group and the bedrooms were very small. No closets for storage. In the upstairs bathroom, i noticed dirt in the corners next to the heat register. The dryer and dishwasher running at the same time would trigger the circuit breaker to go off. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and supplies. Maybe a door on the downstairs bedroom and laundry room. Jim & Gilda Chie"

"We experienced an awesome 8 night stay at this cabin, which is quite cozy and had everything we needed. The location is superb, on the Michigamme River, and with many small, beautiful lakes within a very short drive. We fished as much as possible during the week, and host Ken was most gracious with recommendations and maps to various nearby lakes and rivers for us to try. "The 5 mile drive on a bumpy 2-track is well worth it when you reach the lodge and cabin on 160 acres with it's own private lake. We very comfortably slept over 20 men in the ample sleeping quarters. But the real gem is the huge gathering space in the main lodge. Beautiful views of the lake out one side and a kitchen/bar area on the other. A great place to congregate."

Luxury Custom Built Log Cabin with indoor pool and spa on Lake Michigamme

Amazingly peaceful stay

"My husband, our 2 children and myself stayed at the property as part of our spring break. This place is awesome! This has got to be the most luxurious cabin we have ever stayed in. The pool/hot tub area was wonderfully maintained and the pool was warm upon our arrival. Plenty of firewood was provided and we used the indoor fireplace daily. Ample cooking supplies were provided, even skewers for smores which I had forgotten. The grounds and lake were expansive and private. Mr. and Mrs. Hockaday were wonderful host, very informative and knowledgeable. We look forward to saying again in the summer."
