Premier Hotel East London ICC

10/10 Excellent

"Absolutely stunning hotel the room was fantastic the staff very helpful and polite The menu was great with good wine options and the breakfast buffet was excellent"

Trennerys Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"This is a hotel we first went to 55 years ago. It remains rustic but is in very good order and gives you a wild coast experience without useless frills, preserving the very real touch with the South African beach experience outside the high rises and fancy hotels and eateries. It is simple but very real and honestly stress free, staff is high service and amenable without being servile and plastic. We recommend this to folks who want a magnificent beach, old world charm and style na d fully remote experience. Food is great, accommodations lovely and you can just get along with relaxation with zero stress, and no Joneses to keep up with. Kid you want to do the latter, Don’t come to the Transkei. No joneses, no fancy. You can have a uniquely African experience at Trennerys, if that is really what you want."

Katberg Mountain Resort & Hotel

8/10 Good

"The hotel is busy being refurbished,so is still a little tired but our room was clean and the bed comfortable with excellent linen and towels .It was sad to see a once bustling hotel ,feeling quiet and dejected but with the refurbishment complete ,the friendly staff and excellent chef hopefully things will turn around .The golf course looks well maintained ,though we didn’t have time to play ."

Garden Court East London

8/10 Good

"Check in was nice and quick. The staff not so friendly but very professional. They could use some customer service training and smile a bit. I had a really great room with the view of the pool and the ocean and the garden is beautifully maintained. They skimp on amenities.. no lotion no shampoo/conditioner. I had to ask for more milk, coffee and sugar. They have a minibar in the room but no water in it (rolling my eyes) Breakfast is not the nicest in terms of variety. They only have decaf of offer ridiculous if you ask me. I had fish with savoury rice for supper, it was so delicious so tasty. My time at the poolside was total bliss and the weather didn't disappoint. I extended my stay and the front desk lady was kind enough to let me keep my room. Overall I had an amazing stay!"

Hotel Olivewood

10/10 Excellent

"Great staff, great property, truly refreshing. The property is underrated, from the rooms with outside showers, amenities and the game roaming around the property and lastly the trail within the property offers a great opportunity to walk or run for relaxation and reflection, we were pleasantly surprised by all of this. The only bad thing we noticed was the odour in the room at times, it smelled like blocked drain or sewage."
