"We booked an ocean-facing room with balcony for a 3-night stay, and arrived at check-in around 5pm. We were given a room equipped for people with disabilities and/or a wheelchair. When I promptly asked if we could have a different room for our romantic getaway, I was told that ALL ocean-facing rooms were handicap accessible rooms. On one hand, we thought that was great and very inclusive, HOWEVER, when I then walked our floor to see how many other rooms had the handicap badge by the room card reader, I found this not to be true at all. I saw only one other. We are as flexible as they come, but do not like dishonesty. We didnt go back and complain. We accepted it because we were late for dinner … but fair warning when booking, the room you reserve may not be the one you get. Add to that a few issues with the bathroom (loose toilet handle & TP holder, empty shampoo bottle in the shower) and a very basic room overall, and you quickly realize you’re paying island prices and for the location near the beach. We will look elsewhere the next time we visit Amelia Island. Three stars; just ok; and expensive for what it is."

"We enjoyed our stay at Springhill for one night. The location is amazing and we were able to easily walk to the beach. Our room was clean and we had plenty of space. The only disappointment was that the shampoo and conditioner dispensers in the shower were completely empty…. Zilch. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. "

"What a cute little motel. This place is just as described. An old school motel right on the beach. Keep in mind it is a motel, and amenities are limited. Having said that, the rooms are clean, there is a refrigerator and microwave in the deluxe room, as well at plates and utensils in a little kitchen area with a sink and storage. The beach view is unobstructed. Staff is so friendly! Great location to get most places on Amelia Island. All at a very reasonable price. This was our second stay - we'll be back!"

"No one at the check-in desk for 10 minutes when I arrived. I could hear them Laughing in the back. Provided no water in the room or at breakfast. Free breakfast was low quality foods. "

"The hotel itself was decent, but the room was very dusty and the breakfast area was not very clean either. Parking was good, but you have to pay a separate daily parking fee. "

"Everything was very clean and the breakfast was far more than most continentals ive had elsewhere. Pool was a bit too cold for the little one but it is March still. The beach has drive on access for 4wd/awd basically in view from the hotel entrance and plenty of good places to eat within a coulle minutes walk. Vs pizza is just beside and Sliders grill is beachfront serving all 3 meals. "
