"The address given is not accurate and it took us ages to find, we had to hope that the host read the messages, he then gave us the address. This is listed as an English speaking host which is not accurate. We struggled to communicate. The place is advertised with a pool but this was out of bounds due to the drought, we understand this but we should have known before arrival. We had no hot water at all during our stay and we could not contact the host despite messaging and ringing the door...

"Lovely stay. Eloi is a superb host, for whom nothing seemed too much trouble. The property is in a superb location, with fabulous views over the mountain to the border with Spain. Privacy is guaranteed, but you do have to enjoy isolation, as the nearest shops and bars are a hair-raising 25 minute drive up and down the mountain on a very narrow, twisty road. "We were stunned by the spacious and tidy rooms. Kitchens were very well equipped (better than we ever encountered in many other apartments we visited with this group of friends + kids). "We are a group of 8 and just had the most fantastic 2 weeks in this house. Views are spectacular, the house is well equipped and very spacious and the pool was a good size and a nice temperature. All bedrooms open up on to the balcony where you can watch the sun rise & deer grazing on the garden. Buzzards & kites flying over every day. Market at Prades on Tuesday is worth a visit and also Fort Liberia - if you don’t take the 800 steps up then be prepared for a adventurous & very bumpy jeep...

"We had a great stay here. The house and pool are excellent and the location is beautiful and very peaceful. George was very friendly and welcoming and responded quickly to little requests we made. We felt that the description of the location could be a little more precise.The access road is quite rough and tricky to negotiate in places after heavy rain. Also guests need to be aware that they will be at some distance from the nearest village and shop.That said, it might just be what people are...

"My wife Jo and I spent a very pleasant ten days at Mas Santol. The gite is very beautiful, in a great location not far from the charming small town of Ceret. We explored the area and also went further afield, to the beach at Le Racoul and into the mountains of Prats-de-Mollo. Martine and Serge were very nice to deal with.
