"Very clean hotel. It has air conditioning and heat. Breakfast was excellent ! The only things I didn’t like are No lift to move luggage upstairs Not 24 hours check in. If you can’t check in their available hours in the morning , you have to wait till the reception reopen at 3:00 to 6:00 in the afternoon. "

"The bedroom was ok, but bathroom left a lot to be desired, less than a third of a toilet roll no spare, no glasses glass or plastic to clean your teeth, bath panel cracked, toilet needs a lot of bleach in it for it to be clean, soap dispenser in shower not working. Had a shower went from nice warm water to cold. Bed was comfortable and nice white towels. Room 4 right above the bar can be noisy would we stay again? No."

"It was a great stop for us in our walk in the area . Staff very kind and friendly , food tasty (we had the homemade curry ) . Drinks were also good we had a draught beer and cider. It’s lovely to find people taking on a business and improving it . We didn’t use it but there is a large car park and garden at the rear "

"Lovely place, well looked after. Really good evening meal in the restaurant and continental breakfast included. Nice room and bathroom. Only minor point was that the blind wasn’t very good at keeping light out in the morning "

"The Fox was a lovely place to stay while visiting family. The meal that we had on the first night was extremely good, and we had been told that the breakfast was going to be just as good. Unfortunately this was not the case. My husband had the full English, but the black sausage was so dried out that when he put his fork in it it broke into tiny pieces (inedible). The bacon wasn't much better. The hash brown and the mushrooms were ok. However, he was asked how he would like his egg, which...

"Really enjoyed our stay at Thorps farm. Beautifully clean from with everything we needed. Delicious breakfast options in the morning too. Will happily return if we need to stay in the area again! "

"Lovely room, comfortable bed, huge TV. Ensuite bathroom was okay, could have done with some handsoap at basin. Greeting by owner was professional. Given advice on where to eat for the evening (I chose the pub within 15 min walk). Improvement would be to post a picture of the front of the house on the listing, as I drove up the street twice before I found it."

"I booked the single room, which was bijou but as I expected it to be. The main thing was it was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was so much better than the bland food that you get in chain hotels. Really tasty fresh ingredients that really set me up for the day (I didn’t eat again until 8pm!). Carry on the great work and I’m sure to be back soon."

"I used this for an overnight stay, was welcomed nicely by the young man on duty, (who was very helpful and accommodating throughout the stay). Was surprised to find my room did not have a key to secure it when I went out for a meal though. Also television reception was intermittent, (didn’t matter too much as I was on a short overnight, but would have been irritating on a longer stay). Otherwise, things were fine."

"The Barleycorn is situated in the middle of a village, and it was lovely to listen to the wood pigeons burbling/cooing through the window. The rooms are not above the pub, but behind, and consequently quiet; ours was nicely furnished and the bed/mattress comfy. The owners are enthusiastic and welcoming. The main disadvantage to the location concerns traffic, such as Macdonald's lorries, that seems to race along the road: it makes finding somewhere to safely walk the dogs a little...
