"The villa was lovely, the pool photo is a little misleading as the pool is actually green, not blue. The instructions on how to get to the villa are a little misleading, we were advised to come off the A8 at junction 20,when in fact, if you come off the A8 at Junction 21 it is easier to find, perhaps a sign on the road just before the turn off would be good as it is not a named road, and just a dirt track that is easily missable. "Just returned from a holiday staying in this fabulous accommodation overlooking the Portugese countryside and apple orchards yet within a very short drive of excellent beaches at Sao Martinho do Porto and Foz do Arelho. "Our group of 4 adults had a great stay at this property. While it was a tad tricky to find, Telma helped us through that and warmly greeted us at her charming property. After a quick tour and a few tips she left us with a fresh loaf of bread, some cheese, bottle of her local favorite wine and some pastries. "Accueil chaleureux, charmant jardin et piscine comme sur les photos, mais il s’agit vraiment d’un logement en demi sous-sol, très humide et sommairement aménagé et peu pratique (la salle de bains n’est pas accessible directement, il faut passer par un couloir demi-extérieur avec un sol de béton brut). On sent de très gros efforts et une grande gentillesse de la part des hôtes, mais l’espace n’est pas très agréable et on entend le moindre mouvement des occupants du logement situé au-dessus....

"Wir hatten ein paar wunderschöne Tage in dieser voll ausgestatteten Villa. Der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich und bemüht. Jeden Morgen wurde uns frisches Brot vorbei gebracht. Einziges kleines Manko: Im Haus ist nur ein Badezimmer, die zweite Dusche und Toilette ist am Pool. Leider waren die Temperaturen nicht mehr dafür geeignet, dass man outdoor hätte duschen können."

"MEIO country house is extremely well-maintained and outfitted. We were a group of 12 adults, with 6 new ones swapping places with the original guests after 1 week. Clean linens were supplied and a housekeeper cleaned the rooms beautifully. The location has easy access to the train at Santarem and only 1 hour drive to Lisbon.
