    'The workshop': capacity from 2 to 5 people.

Heerlijke tijd gehad met ons gezin. Ruime plek, waar vooral het buitenleven erg fijn is. Onze dochters waren vooral fan van het varen. Er is een roeiboot en kano aanwezig die je mag lenen. Ook zijn er fietsen te leen, waarmee je zo in het centrum bent. Bedden en sanitair zijn goed, en erg sfeervol ingericht. Enige verbeterpunt is dat sommige gedeeltes in het huis niet zo schoon waren.

This is a lovely home, in a tranquil garden setting between the creeks and canals of the hortillonnages area of Amiens. Our host Hubert personally greeted us, showed us through his amazing garden and shared advice about the area. The home itself is well furnished and comfortable, with excellent beds and comfortable linens. The location is a short drive to restaurants and the historic part of the city. This was our first stop on a 3 week tour of France, and a wonderful start to our vacation. The property is highly recommended

The host Hubert was wonderful and very informative.The property has a beautiful and very large garden and we were able to use the little rowing boat.The property is old and rather cluttered (this could be classed as charm) and unfortunately a little dirty, a lot of cobwebs, dirt behind doors and in cupboards. On a positive however the bedding and towels were spotless.Due to the extreme heatwave and no A/C, Hubert did provide fans including a new one which helped.It is about a 30 minute walk into Amiens but 10 mins the other way to a litttle patisserie.

Week-end dépaysant

Retrouvailles familiales réussies dans un cadre très agréable, une maison decorée avec soin. Très bon accueil. Mise à disposition d'une barque pour découvrir les hortillonnages : super! Que de bons souvenirs ! Merci Hubert

Künstlerhaus mit schönem Garten

Sehr schön eingerichtete Immobilie mit individueller, ungewöhnlicher Farbgebung. Sehr schöner Garten, am Wasser gelegen. Sehr freundlicher Vermieter. Die Unterkunft ist zwar ländlich gelegen, aber nicht sehr ruhig. Vor dem Haus führt eine mittelmäßig befahrene Durchgangstraße entlang und die sehr früh Laut gebenden Hühner des Nachbarn, haben uns kurz nach 4 Uhr geweckt (Oropax ist jedenfalls im Sommer angeraten). Allerdings gibt es auf dem Grundstück drei Gästehäuser und wir hatten das neben dem Hühnerauslauf....

Beautiful house, garden and location

The few photographs of this property on this website do not do it justice! This is a superb house, set in a beautiful garden with the free use of kayak, rowing boat and bicycles. Undoubtedly a highlight of our stay for the children was kayaking straight from the garden boathouse around the numerous waterways in this area and into the River Somme. It is a lovely walk or cycle along the river path into Amiens. Although you need a car to see further places and WW1 sights. The host is welcoming, the house spotless and well equipped - full of antiques (ornaments and furniture) but with fully modern facilities.

Quintessential French ambiance: high quality, beautiful accommodation and gardens, authentic Amiens

I am extremely fussy and particular about standards and this beautiful accommodation surpassed all expectations of our stay here. It is peaceful, warm and very French - the hosts are absolutely wonderful people, friendly, caring and respectful. I thoroughly recommend asking for the chef option for four course authentic French cuisine as well. The property works very well for a larger travelling group of parties - each has a chalet with plenty of bedrooms, well furnished to a high standard and well equipped kitchens. A five minute drive to central Amiens and set amongst estuaries and gorgeous common gardens provides a wonderful experience of the region. Five stars plus from me and my family!
