"The listing indicated pets were welcome and we were able to bring our 13 year old dog, who loves traveling with my husband and I. There was some initial confusion after we booked the Schoolhouse, saying pets are prohibited. Through contact with the host, it was cleared up pretty quickly. "Graves mountain lodges is cozy, down to earth and has plenty to do. An area rich in history and natural beauty with none of the commercialization of typical resorts. We loved our cabin stay at wild wind - a refurbished old school house along the river. Very peaceful and had everything you could need. Great location close to Shenandoah and Rapidan River. There are plenty of activities and we loved the farm animals and the ability to hike around the grounds. The only critique would be that the bathroom heater didnt work so it was quite cold in that room. Food is a bit pricey for what you get but we liked the dedication to sourcing locally. We would definitely reccomend and would go back! "
