"I didn’t realize this was more of a B&B than a hotel. I’ve never stayed in a B&B before, so my expectations were a little off. It is an older home with a small, skinny staircase to get to the rooms, and the family who owns it lives there. That said, the room was like a little apartment. It was comfortable with a sitting room separate from the bedroom. Furniture wasn’t new, but comfortable. Bathroom was nice, though the shower was a little small. "Magical stay in a beautiful castle! I ate the best meal I have ever had in the restaurant and the breakfast buffet was extensive and tasty! My husband said he had the best eggs! It was just a lovey stay, but book a taxi ahead of time as it’s difficult to reach them if you arrive in the evening. Go into Eschwege as it is a picturesque town with a very helpful tourist center."
