The most helpful staff, kept things quick with both check in& out, amazing english. Hotel is a little dated but where you are so central to different museums, bars, pubs, nightclubs and parks there isn't really a need to be in very much!
You'd be hard pushed to find a hotel at better value and location !

Hotel Amsterdam Inn was a perfect Amsterdam experience, the pros are it is a great location, a cozy atmosphere with a canal view and accessible to everything, the beds are comfy and the staff cleans daily
the cons were, it is an old building, you can hear everything, the doors are heavy and slam loud, the stairs are more like a ladder and very narrow, I reccomend staying on the first floor, which still requires a steep ascent, the hotel is close to rembrandt square which is a very loud party scene at night, I heard people yelling all night long, the hotel also has no air conditioning, so I would not atay here past Aprl as it is very warm and opening the windows makes it louder, if youre looking for peace and quiet, but overall it was just wonderful all part of the adventure of travel, be willing to expand your comfort zones and enjoy

Great Loacation (Leidseplein) where a lot of trams are stopping.
The house is very niosy, you almost hear every word spoken in other rooms. Steeps stairs and no lift.

Cheap and cheerful. Biggest downside is that you can really hear everything in the hallways and other rooms. Had to get earplugs and woken up. Some mold in the bathroom.
Other than that great location, good for dining, shopping, walking, and transport. Also staff were nice too.
I liked the service, It was really helpful and frienly.
What I didn't like was the wiew. We paid for canal wiew, but we couldn't even see any water.
The frontdoor was also very noisy and that was disturping at night (If having room in ground floor).
First time in Amsterdam, and booked the room last minute. My wife and I traveled from Brussels for the day and decided it would be better to spend the evening. The place fit our needs for a last minute booking, and was clean with adequate sleeping accomodations. Being an old city with old buildings, it is understandable that most rooms are on upper floors with many steps to climb, so if you are not willing/able to climb steps you need to book early and pay extra for bigger rooms on lower floors, but that is not the fault of the hotel... The staff was friendly and helpful, the beds were comfortable, and we even had a bathroom with a shower, which I understand is not always the case in Amsterdam. Beautiful city to see and everything is walkable. However, watch out for the bikes... LOL
The location is really good I have to say. But the rest of the stay was just terrible. The room are super tiny with no storage place, I could barely open my suitcase on the floor. The worst part is the bathroom, the shower is setup in a way you can’t use it without flooding the bathroom floor completely, and there is no drain below the sink area so the bathroom is under water. I booked the place in high demand and payed 170€ a night, I think in other times the rooms are cheaper and maybe then ok as you pay for what you get. But I would never book it again, was the most depressing week of my life. The staff is super nice and the location is great, and I believe with a little bit of love you can make even a tiny room cosy and adjust so the guest have a bit more space. The bathroom needs a reconstruction for sure.

Ok place
Place is ok for a place to sleep, very challenging to get our suitcases and backpacks to the room, in the 3rd floor even worst to get them down through the narrowest stairs you’ll see.
Amazing and super helpful staff, but there was black mold on some bathroom ceilings, and bed bugs in our room and other guests’ rooms. The hotel doesn’t have a receptionist, so you have to yell into a ring doorbell for service until someone can come over (they often can’t).

The stagg was friendly, the room was absolutley decent for the price. However, I do believe there was bedbugs in the room, I’ve got several bites over my body that looks like bed bug marks.
Very strange property. Got the room at 4th floor which only has stairs and it was really difficult to go up or come down with luggage. People were running and shouting throughout the night.
No hot water for 2 and a half days. Extremely noisy until 4am, not very clean and old furniture. Extremely small bathroom. The worst hotel I ever stayed in. The canal view was on canal construction starting at 7am. Dangerous steps for people with limited mobility. Terrible stay.
Coming in to a two-night stay, we knew about the stairs and small rooms from reading other reviews, so I'm not going to complain about that. What I am going to complain about is, on the morning of the second day, the hot water of the building was shut off due to construction. No advance warning. We were not able to shower on the second day, or the morning of our departure. This should be considered a basic necessity that all hotels should provide.
They posted a sign to everyone's doors 4hrs after the water was turned off
I am working on getting a partial refund for the inconvenience from the hotel or Hotels.com, but am not optimistic that it will happen
The bathroom was tiny and the shower did not drain and the floor flooded each time. The room was poorly decorated with cheap curtains and furnishings. Each night it was freezing in the room. The stairs were narrow and one wobbled under foot.
