Basic but fine single room. Tea/coffee facilities. Friendly staff who offered me a hairdryer without me having to ask. Basic breakfast included. Handy having a restaurant on site which I utilized several nights. Room was on street side and was noisy but I hadn't researched the area well.

The worst experience ever to behonest reception sats 24/7 but they were never there and same dull breakfast everyday plus the room is really small for ehat you pay and they will try anything to staywith your deposit will never stay there

I should know better than to transit through Amsterdam on a weekend. It was adequate property, lovely staff, good location. Convenient to everything. Tram stop a block away. Clean. Expensive for what it is. Single bed (not a twin) tight quarters.

Very friendly staff at this hotel which is full of character. I stayed for one night and am glad I chose the Hotel Doria as it was a friendly and safe place to stay as a woman on their own. I was close to everything I wanted to see in the city and had the benefit of a small but very clean room to return to in the evening. I stayed during the King’s Day celebrations so it was very lively outside, inside was a oasis of calm however. The breakfast was fresh and delicious and I thought very generous for what was described as a Continental breakfast with bread, pastries, meat and eggs, fruit, yogurts plus coffee or tea and fruit juice. An ideal place to stay for travellers wanting a more personal experience, I will certainly return if in Amsterdam again.

Filthy, broken, and tiny.

I have never seen walls so dirty before. The bathroom door was do narrow, I had to go sideways. Bathroom was so small, I could not even sit on the toilet. Almost cut my head open on the loose screws in the broken doorframe. Avoid.

This was my second time staying at the Hotel Doria which is an indication of how satisfied I was. The hotel is just off Dam Square so convenient for everything going on and easy to reach from Amsterdam Centraal Station. There are lots of places to eat nearby plus the restaurant attached to the hotel, discount too for hotel guests. The downside is a certain amount of noise outside which is still audible even when the double glazing was shut. I didn't find this too much of a problem however as things quietened down during the late evening. My room was small, a single, but clean and with a very efficient shower in the en suite. Coffee and tea were provided along with a small kettle and were very welcome. Breakfast was lovely, fresh, varied and there was plenty of it. Staff were unfailingly polite, helpful and friendly during my visit. I will return to this hotel again on the basis of my visit.
