Thé Iron Horse Hôtel is wonderfully situated near many important sites. The staff is exceptional and I would like to especially mention Bianca, Angela, William and Khalid. The room was clean the free coffee much appreciated and room temperature was agreeable. All in all, a highly recommendable establishment.

Really hot room

When we arrived the reception was closed, with a sign saying that there had been an issue and that they will be back "soon". There was a number to call, which we did but no one pick up. We were there tired and with our bags and with no idea of how long it will take for them to come back. Someone did come after around 15min. The staff were really friendly and nice, the room was ok. The main issue is that the A/C was not working, it was really hot. They had a big "mobile A/C" that was really loud, but was not delivering cool air, even the "fan" setting was very bad. Between the heat and the noise it was really difficult to sleep.

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was centrally located and an easy walk to many locations, including the Rjksmuseum, Van Gogh museum, Anne Frank House and a Canal boat tour. The room was very clean, as was the bathroom. I would reccomend staying here for anyone that doesn't have a car.

Great location but the hotel is a little bit run-down and not fully comfortable (doors are always open, making the building cold). My sink drain was also broken, for instance, and the TV didn’t work. But, the place was reasonably clean. I would stay again due to the location and experience of no major problems, but the price felt high for how basic the premises are.

Great value.

Nice reception staff. Rooms a little tired and not the cleanest place but passable and very good value. Great location if you don’t want to stay central as only a short walk away and plently of nice places nearby if hidden away a little. Cafe Toussaint for example is ace!

Hotel in a safe area and at the same time close to downtown, therefore with restaurants and main attractions at walking range. Our room was a bit small and it was not possible to open the window. Personnel really kind.

Property located in a walkable area, close to many restaurants and shops. There was also multiple tram stops near the hotel. The staff was friendly, and let us leave our bags until check in time when we arrived early. When we checked out, they offered to call us a cab to the train station. The rooms were clean, and came with an espresso machine. Nice hotel for a quick trip to Amsterdam!
