Excellent staff here. They allowed us to check in early as room was ready for us and made us feel welcome.
Breakfast had enough options including cold meat which was the manager said was halal.
Tram stops are nearby to get you to where you need.
Great hotel. A short distance / tram ride from the centre. Simple but excellent breakfast, super clean rooms and comfy bed and great service from all the staff.

The staff was very friendly! The breakfast was very good. Everyone made us feel very comfortable!
Nice friendly staff, good location positioned near the tram to main tram routes including centraal station. Nice sized rooms, bed is a bit hard hard but that could be personal preference.
Small hotel with very friendly front desk staff. Included breakfast was excellent with great coffee options. Multiple tram stops 1-5 minutes away. Rooms are larger than most in Amsterdam. A bit of street noise if you are facing it; bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper or ask for a non-street facing room. Elevator is nice. Located in west Amsterdam. 25 minute walk into the city center. Plenty of restaurants and pubs nearby including the Foodhallen (25+ options) and the street market with many hot food vendors.
We were able to drop off our luggage in the morning. The hotel clerk was incredibly helpful and patient. The room was comfortable and clean. Lovely little balcony with a great view of life on a busy Amsterdam street but still quiet. You get so much for a very reasonable fee.
The room I had was quite small but I'm travelling solo so it was adequate for me. The bed was quite hard which is personal preference I know. The bathroom was small but functional. The shower had good pressure and the grate between the shower and the basin and toilet prevents the water from going into this area.
Breakfast was good with specialty coffees available.
Wow the staff here is so nice. They left me flowers in my room on my birthday. They will clean the room everyday unless you put up the Do Not Disturb sign. Breakfast includes eggs meat and cheese not just basic continental. Great central location. Loved it!
Beautiful location, friendly and helpful staff, delicious breakfast with a varied range of choices, clean and tidy room, free wifi, my only minor problem was that the bed was a little too firm for me.
What a great little hotel! The staff was very friendly and the room was sparkling clean. It was a great location for walking the city but still quiet with a local vibe. Good food options close by. Freddy Fryday was delicious and the rotisserie chicken place across the street was also very good.
Poorstay at Larende Hotel, bad female receptionist
My initial booking was excluding breakfast, however when I checked in, the Hotel asked me for an extra 35.86 euros for breakfast!
Although I was clear to him that I booked it without breakfast on purpose!!!
They receptinist on checkin was Ok, next day receptionist was very gentle and welcoming.
However, the lady at checkout, if I was manager, I would give her a warning for her attitude and rudness with guests.
All in all, room was good, no napkins for use except for toilette tissues. Bed mattress was very hard, pillows very light and cheap, bathing towel very cheap quality.
I wanted to check breakfast for 1st and only day, it was average, jam, coffee, scrambled eggs and some fruit salad, that's all.
Even if this is separate, decent hotels normally don't charge for 1 piece of .33 L of water bottle from minibar.
In conclusion, I do not recommend to book in it again!
Great location in a quieter part of Amsterdam yet a close walk or tram ride to the center. The room was very small, but typical for Europe. The breakfast was great and included hot items like eggs. The woman at the front desk was friendly. The only negative was that the AC didn’t work. We were on the top floor with daytime highs in the 70s. The room was very warm, and we booked it specifically because it had AC. When we told the front desk, they said it was a “known issue”, which sounded like they knew and still booked the room. They initially didn’t want to do anything about it, until we asked again. They reset it, and it worked for 2 hours but then shut off.
