I enjoyed my stay here very much. It's unlike everything else I experienced traveling. Room is very cozy, there's great view and the host is very nice, accomodating, easily reachable in case of any problem and will help you with anything you need.
The perfect place for a short city break, feels private even though you share the outdoor area with a couple others. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!!!
Beautiful setting, great transport options, very unique propoerty, didnt use the hot tub as weather was not our favour ..decking gets slippy. Bed was so comfy and the coffee selection was brill. Only 4 min walk to trams to centre. Will definitely be coming back!

The experience of sitting out on the patio at night with a beautiful view of the canal was lovely but we don't believe that the cost of the room - $320.00 CAD - was worth it.
We appreciated the assistance we received from Andrew.
We had a great stay on the house boat. It was awesome to watch all of the boats go by on the large Amstel waterway. Great little seating area outside as well. One downside is the rooms air conditioning is kept a little hotter than comfortable for us with no way to turn it cooler. It was also a bit of a walk with luggage to the metro. Overall great stay though and I would absolutely recommend staying in a houseboat while in Amsterdam, it’s a unique and really cool experience.
It was an experience for sure to stay there. If you have a bit of mobility issue you may struggle to get over steps on entry. Eco friendly place, very clean and very comfy bed. Because we both on bigger size it was a bit struggle to pass each other, it is small. Would be nice to have brighter light in bathroom, can't see if you doing makeup. To get in was a challenge, have to ask young people for help how to use Nuki app to lock and unlock the doors. I would never got in and out on my own. Walk to centre on if you fit, otherwise bus, tram or metro is easy enough. Only wish for good weather, we have rain most of the time.
Absolutely loved our stay on the boat, beautiful location with a beautiful view from inside, lovely being able to sit out on the decking in the evenings. Not too noisy, nice and warm. Love the mini fridge and the coffee machine. I absolutely loved our stay and will definitely return. The decking with the backdrop and the lights made for a perfect setting to propose to my girlfriend and we have had the best trip. The ONLY thing I have to say is that on our first day we were laying down and having a cuddle and the owner just unlocked our door and came walking straight in without knocking or anything and we didn’t really like that as didn’t feel very private then but she was really polite and other than that our stay was perfect and we will return and recommend
My daughter and I spent 2 nights in the houseboat Little Amstel. We wanted something different and we were really delighted.
The boat was clean and considering how compact it was, very well organised and supplied.
The shower was great and the coffee machine easy to use.
I enjoyed sitting in the deck in the morning with a coffee with the sun on my face watching the water. Bliss!
The walls were fairly thin and it was easy to hear our next door guests as they arrived later in the night. Be aware that Amsterdam is a lively city and there will be people going by; either in boats or on foot over the nearby bridge from their night out. It didn’t bother us at all, but be aware it’s not completely silent.
Thank you for your kind help with our luggage.
We will recommend your little boat to all our friends.
Location is great....very unique setting. Problem that we had is that the small room has no ventilation unless you want to keep the doors open while you sleep at night. Obvious security issues. There are no windows that you can open.
The owners state that the air conditioner will turn on automatically once the air temperature gets high in the room so the occupants don't have to worry about turning it off.....this is environmentally responsible. When we stayed there for two nights the room was hot and stuffy. Contacted the owner and he agreed to turn on the air conditioner remotely(his computer) for a few hours the first night. The second night I had to email him to turn on the air conditioner again because it was extremely uncomfortable in the room again. He did this but for only a short amount of time. We woke up in the middle of the night hot and sweaty and had to open the doors to the tiny room.
Unless I'm missing something with the Amsterdam City regulations about running an air conditioner overnight with rental properties this is unacceptable. The owner is in the tourism industry. His clients are using jet aircraft to fly in from all around the world causing so called world carbon emissions to go up and he is using the "environmental card" so he can save a few bucks on not running an air conditioner overnight. It would be so simple to make the stay perfect.....have a control in the room for the air conditioner. I dont recommend staying here until this is fixed.
Was a fun stay for two nights. Wouldn’t want to stay longer as room was very small. Also have to bring luggage down a ramp and up and over a set of three or four stairs to get to the houseboat. Pack light!
Lovely stay on LittleAmstel, would highly recommend to any couple wanting to stay for a few days in Amsterdam. Great location and well appointed unit of accommodation.
Would stay agajn
Very nice stay on the boat. Terrace is very convinient if you want to stay in the sun. Very calm even though there is a bridge but the noice is not very hard.
Nice small room with everything you need.
One inconvenient: the soap was not refilled there was no soap but we used the shower gel that was refilled.
The room had a really bad smell of mould and there where mould in the room. Unfortunately we could not get a refund, only some nights at another location for another time. We decided not to stay in the room because of the smell and for health reasons. So we booked another hotel.
