The location is really nice. Very close to train station and a grocery store. The room was decently clean and comfortable, especially for the price. Staff was very kind and the lobby was very nice to work in. I would definitely consider staying again.

Got the XL room for 4x folks and it surpassed all our expectations - extremely spacious, clean and the hotel itself was an amazing mix of work/vacation folks that made it feel safe at all times. The club downstairs and restaurant on the rooftop was also a 10/10. the location of this hotel couldnt be any better. 100% recco Volkshotel for any stay in amsterdam. i will def be back.

Really good position for getting around the city, comfortable rooms but the staff stood out the most - really helpful throughout. Bags were lost at schipol, I gave them a heads up I would be late, by the time I got there I'd been upgraded to a studio apartment unit. Breakfast upstairs gives you great views of the city, good range to start the day with. Will definitely stay there again.

This is a super cool and unique place to stay. The restaurant has great food. we took advantage of the bicycles available too for a convenient way to get around Amsterdam. Knowledgeable staff and cool artsy vibes.

Fab hotel but need more staff in the roof top bar

The look and the feel of the hotel was fab and the staff were really friendly. Underground and tram stops close by. The hot tubs on the roof were amazing and such a nice way to chill after long day sightseeing. The only problem was the understaffing of the roof top bar and restaurant. We waited over an hour for our drinks and then they only brought the cocktails and not the cup of tea so we left. The staff were really apologetic but they were just so understaffed ☹️ Because of this we didn’t go back to eat there.

Fun bar and coffee in the lobby, free sauna and hot tubs for guests, underground club, free live music throughout the weekend. Room was very nice and comfortable. The hotel is right by a metro station. Would stay here again and recommend to friends visiting Amsterdam.

The Volkshotel was absolutely lovely! The place itself as well as the rooms are unique and artistic. The staff was so friendly too! My favorite aspect was the barrel hot tubs on the roof!! Loved it!
