Our stay was really short but enjoyed it! The cabin is so cozy and such a perfect place for our trip to Alaska. Was easy to get into and had everything you would need. The host was super responsive and made it all easy!
We had a nice stay here, but can't say we slept well at all. I think its time to replace the mattresses.

Badly located house
along a very busy road, difficulties in keeping the windows open. The whole house would need a serious refresh (collapsed cupboard doors, etc.) beds on the ground floor in very poor condition, one of which consists of 2 camp beds on which rests a board and the mattress. Broken washing machine. dirty dishes in the dishwasher. ………Bad experience for us.
Hello all.
So my wife, 14 year old son and I stayed here for 2 nights.
The house is not too far off a main road so you can hear cars sometimes at night.
The house is very nice and has most everything you need. Does not have washer/dryer.
The kitchen is well stocked with all you need to cook a full meal.
The living room is comfy with it seating and TV.
Sauna works great.
The main bedroom, which is upstairs, is comfortable. There is a half bathroom upstairs. There is a TV but in an awkward place.
The 2nd bedroom has 2 dbl beds.
The main bathroom is downstairs. Full shower/tub and everything else. No issues at all.
There is a deck that goes around the entry level, it’s older and is in need of some repair in some places.
Overall, very nice place. Not too far from the city or airport. A bit noisy at night due to close proximity to main road, but not an issue for us.
We would stay here again for sure.

If you are looking for a 5-star, pristine property, this is not for you. But if you are looking for the most welcoming, comfortable, and relaxing stay you could imagine, this is the place for you. Scotti is all in on providing a Hygge experience and we could not have been happier. Scotti was also super-responsive and great to communicate with. If we come back to the Anchorage area, we know where we will be looking to stay!
This chalet was super cute for a night in town for my palz birthday, and a pretty good quiet location. The only complaint I would have is there are some rules, which we were reminded of a few times. Strict quiet hours and minimum noise due to the lower tenants, which is hard if you have a group of 5.
This place was very quiet and in a nice forested area, but only 15 minutes from the airport so very convenient for us. Cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed.
Love the living area and deck. Spacious, full kitchen also. Upstairs bedroom very nice. Downstairs bedroom OK - a bit crowded and couldn't open window. Really liked full bathroom downstairs and half bath upstairs. Suggest that owner fix/replace the sliding glass door and screen that leads out to deck.
Property was very cozy and comfortable for our family of 4. Scotti was attentive to us while we were there. Property was clean and had everything you would need for a stay. We were out and about all day and only there at night to sleep. Property is a single home but has an apartment on bottom with other “guest”. This was an inconvenience as we would stay out exploring and would usually come home late and had to worry about the guest underneath is and the noise. We did not see any moose, but did see a black bear on our way out.

Hygge theme and descriptions smomgst the home make it fun snd unique. There is a sauna. The place is open with lots of natural light and airy.
This was a great start to our 9-day trip of Alaska. Scotti was super responsive and helpful throughout our trip, a great VRBO host. We enjoyed the great views of the forest and mountains from our chalet. The nice touches and furnishings were very thoughtful, and added much warmth to the property. Rooms were spacious and beds comfy. Access to Anchorage and Seward Hwy make this a great location.
This little chalet was awesome!!! Scotti was very easy to get ahold of when I had questions & extremely helpful!!! The big open windows were amazing the amount of natural sunlight was great so we didn’t have to use a bunch of lights in the house. We had a big moose come into the yard one morning & it was amazing to see!!
This weekend stay was exactly what we needed. The location was great to enjoy scenic views, get to Girdwood, or downtown Anchorage. The hosts put so much thought into all the little details. Cozy reading corners, slippers, all the kitchen amenities you could want or need. Loved the coffee bar! My husband's favorite part was the sauna. It was such a relaxing way to start and end our day. All the little things one could need were there. We ended our day of site seeing curled up in front of the fireplace. Our host graciously dropped off wood even. Lovely sea and mountain views. Also loved that we got a private cozy feel but still could zip into town for a fantastic dinner out. Scotti made us feel like we were back in Europe, we have missed it so much. The only thing we could of needed was some hangers and shelves to put our toiletries in the master bathroom. All and all a wonderful stay and a major part of that was because of our fantasitc host who went above and beyond!
It was great to use the sauna and then relax by the fire.
You can see the sunset from the back porch which was an unexpected bonus.
Seems pretty kid friendly (though we were kid free!).
Host is friendly and accommodating.
Thanks for a nice night away!
