"The concept is novel and well executed. We were staying as part of a cycling tour down the Via Rhona, for which the location is perfect, with bespoke secure bike storage. The town is beautiful with lots of great restaurants, but I suggest you book ahead of time as they all get busy. The one big challenge we had was checking in. "The reviews online rave about the very nice rooms. The reviews and hotel info do not make clear that arriving with a car is very difficult logistically. The hotel boat is moored where there is only a pedestrian footpath. There is no where close by to drop the bags for easy access, many meters from where cars are allowed. There are no actual staff at the location, only virtual staff who cannot help with the luggage drop or movement. You get parking recommendations only after the cancel window...

"My husband and I stayed at the chateau for one evening with our small children. We explored the property after we arrived and put them down for bed before enjoying dinner by ourselves... one of the best meals we have ever had in our lives! Florence and her husband treat you like family. It was a true treat to have stayed there!"
