"This “hotel” was probably the worst value of all our 9 bookings for this trip. It was £30 more than we paid for Quality Hotel Richard With which was far and away a better quality hotel. The main reason we were here was to park the car overnight in the ferry queue to make sure we caught the 0845 to Senja. It worked out a good location for this. The only real strong point. The Marena is what appears to be a converted offices suite over a converted shop. It is unstaffed and feels like a student...

"Upon arrival, I discovered that the fire alarm in the room was over nineteen months past its expiration date. When I raised this concern with hotel staff, Chris was very rude and sarcastic and said that the alarm was still “working” because it had a blinking light — despite it clearly being expired and potentially non-functional in a real emergency. This was extremely concerning, especially considering Norwegian fire safety regulations require hotels to maintain fully functional and up-to-date...
