I somehow thought this would be closer to the airport, but it was about a 30 minute drive. Nevertheless, Llalo was very clean, safe, professionally operated and the breakfast on the porch was ideal. The rates were appropriate for the lodging. I highly recommend it.

Phenomenal property and staff who went the extra mile to make you feel at home and also assist with all your needs during stay. Complementary SUV ride back to airport was a special touch. Classy staff and classy hotel - will recommend to all business associates and clients.

LOVED OUR STAY HERE! Very clean, neat, & the staff was absolutely fantastic!! Food was great! Oh the saunas were so so so relaxing. The only reason I checked off the area outside of the property being unsafe is that Ecuador was under marshall law so we did not feel safe outside the hotel. BUT WE FELT TOTALLY SAFE & COMFORTABLE INSIDE!!! Did I mention how friendly the staff were!!!!! Cannot wait to came back!

I was very impressed with both the people and the facilities. I traveled alone to a place that was completely strange to me. I never felt alone. Everyday at breakfast (very tasty) the staff made sure that my plan for the day would work. They had a sincere interest in my well being and my experience in Ecuador. I would whole heartedly recommend this hotel. They made my trip wonderful.

The hotel is a marvel and the Manage of Operations Juan Carlos Rios is tremendous--he is everywhere--greeting you upon arrival, getting the bellman to take luggage to the room, park the car, then in the restaurant and even assisting with travel directions for your onward journey. The hotel is in an excellent location right in the heart of the central historical district. It is within walking distance to the Plaza Grande, the Presidential Palace, the Plaza San Francisco and the National Cathedral, etc. The property is well-maintained and clean, and the staff is very professional and friendly. My husband and I so enjoyed our three night stay here over Easter. Everything was superb, and I can't recommend it enough. We had dinner in the hotel on the first night, and the food and service were so good, we weren't tempted to have dinner anywhere else. Choose a table in the conservatory, which is like dining in a jewel box. I highly recommend the strawberry "carpaccio" served with basil ice cream. Beautiful, clever and very tasty!

The environment at the hotel was extremely welcoming, the service was great and the room was well equipped and clean. I particularly enjoyed the walking tour with Santiago, who was very thorough with his explanations and showed us the best of Quito’s beautiful historical town! Even though I was traveling solo, I never felt alone because of the staff. I would definitely recommend this place to any travellers looking for a more personal and traditional trip in Quito!

Spent 4 nights at this hotel in Feb 2018. It is located within an easy 3 minute walk to Plaza Grande on Venezuela St. Tell your taxi driver "Venezuela y Olmedo" that will get you to the nearest corner. We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite... 2 bathrooms, full kitchen and washer/dryer. Excellent unit. A/C worked perfectly. The dryer actually got hot and dried our clothes. What a lovely property. Very historic and the plants and wall paintings give it a welcoming touch. Excellent friendly service, especially from Daniel. Breakfast was also very decent. Very good location in historical center, but the only drawback is that the hotel is on a street that has a lot of noisy bars. Best to request the very quiet rooms in the back. Otherwise a perfect stay.
