"This is a wonderful friendly, family pub. We had the good fortune to book off-season and the hotel/room type accommodation was of a very high standard. How many places offer fresh milk in the fridge for your Nespresso (4 varieties to choose from), or have a high quality TV that works well, great ?home-made shortbread. - not many. The restaurant is a go-to in the immediate area (of well-heeled discerning people) so supper and breakfast were both great - though I don't know what cooked would have been like as I had the continential stuff - lovely. But most importantly our hosts couldn't have been more helpful or kind - I felt very welcome. In fishing season I think you'll struggle to get a room and pay a bit more, but otherwise you'll have an absolute bargain here, and yes, I do give 1 star reviews if necessary"

"5*. A beautiful cottage with the highest level of quality. Everything has been thought about in great detail and it is a wonderful cottage for a holiday break in the Hampshire countryside. "

"This was our 2nd stay at this wonderful house. There is everything you could ever need here. We feel so safe and comfortable. The host's Mum Diana is such a lovely lady who is so thoughtful! It was a perfect 3 day family break where ages range from 6 to 85!"

"We had an amazing Christmas at the Hatchet. Christmas Eve food was great and local musicians provided excellent entertainment which everyone in the pub joned in with. A fantastic atmosphere. The hotel rooms were warm and comfortable. Although we had one minor glich with our room, it was dealt with quickly and professionally. Thank you Gerry. We will certainly be staying at The Hatchet next time we are visiting Wiltshire. "
