"We had a great stay at Quinta do Espirito Santo. We hosts are fantastique and full of insight. This is not a traditional hotel, but you get to stay at a fantastique old house with great history and athmosphere. The premises have cats, chickens, ducks and dogs. Would recommend a stay here if you want something out of the ordinary. "

"Staff were the best! .. wonderful, very friendly and helpful. Beautiful ocean views throughout the hotel. The restaurant/bar food was excellent and inexpensive. The breakfast buffet had a huge variety of fresh and delicious foods. Both indoor and outdoor parking available. Didn't use the hotel gym, but I could see it was constantly in use and had all equipment needed for a full workout. Also, didn't use the indoor or outdoor pools but they looked clean and well maintained. My only complaint ... We were 3 adults sharing one room, we didn't want a pullout couch bed and this was the only hotel who offered three beds in one room which we reserved. However, upon arrival, our room had only 2 beds and the dreaded pullout couch bed which had a thin mattress so you could feel the framework and sank when you laid down. Hotel staff did their best to make us as comfortable as possible, but nothing could help with the pullout couch bed. So, except for that, we enjoyed our stay and recommend this hotel."
"The room was spotless, and it was cleaned every day- fresh towels, bed made, coffee refilled…. The breakfast was outstanding- so much variety and excellent quality. We loved our stay and we would highly recommend this hotel!"
"WOST EXPERIENCE EVER
On my second day, I greeted the maintenance lady and made sure the sign was up for room cleaning service, left the room (and double checked that the door was well closed) and was out for the day. When I came back, my backpack that I’ve put in a strategical position was open and on the floor, my passport out of the front pocket and my money out of my passport case (a bit over 200€ cash). My clothes were initially in packing cubes in my suitcase. When I came back, some clothes that I haven’t pulled out nor worn yet and were completely at the bottom of my suitcase were either out of it or on top of my clothes pile! I warned the hotel manager about it and he automatically blamed me for not putting my stuff in the locked safe!!! I even referred him to the European Tourism Law, art. 1039 a) of the civil code but nothing.
I needed that money for the rest of my trip, especially for taxis since most of them don’t accept Apple Pay. Uber isn’t supported on Terceira island, Bolt drivers were all busy and I could only book an airport shuttle reservation for the next day. The manager didn’t want to compensate me or anything. I asked an employee at the lobby if he could order me a taxi that would accept Apple Pay and he accepted. Quick phone call and he confirms that a taxi will pick me up shortly. I asked him if he told the driver that I could only pay with Apple Pay to which he said yes but when the taxi arrived, he said that he didn’t accept tap credit card."
