About this property

50 m to the slopes, own parking lot

  • Cozy log cabin in holiday village (about 100 houses) in the ski area Dachstein-West. The house can accommodate up to 7 people (1 double room, 1 room with 2 single beds and 1 extra bed, 2 sleeps sofa in the living room) and is located in a small side valley of the Salzburg Dolomites. Directly from the terrace you have a panoramic view of the Gosaukamm and the Bischofsmütze.
In winter you can ski down to the house, in summer, the hiking or mountain bike tours start right at the house.
If you do not feel like skiing, hiking or similar activities, you can enjoy a relaxing spa day in the holiday village with sauna, swimming, massages etc. But tourist attractions such as Hallstatt or Hallein with its Celtic salt mines or Salzburg (about 50 minutes by car) with all its culture and shopping are within easy reach.

Great view and location

Our family of four enjoyed our stay very much and took every chance we got to sit outside for the view. You can easily reach every sights in the area in less than an hour's drive so that was quite convenient as a base to explore. The place is very clean and quiet, neighbours are a bit close but everybody respects the quietness and privacy of each other and besides friendly hellos pretty much keep to themselves. We were so busy that we never tried the pool/sauna/café/morning bread orders from the reception, but it was nice to have those options a few steps away.

Great chalet, great mountains = great holiday

We had a great holiday staying in the chalet in alpendorf dachstein west. The chalet is situated in a nice little 'community' of chalets. It is really close to the piste, and you can take a little short cut through the woods to get to the piste ( to and from). The chalet itself is very cosy, and with enough space for relaxing and enjoying the view of the mountain which you have from most of the windows. The fireplace creates good heat, and a cosy atmosphere. We were a family of 4, and we had loads of room to hang out, play games and enjoy our time there. The skiing in the area is good, with loads of cut places on the mountain to stop in and eat and refresh before heading further down the mountain. The reception, which is only a couple of hundred meters away, offers ski rental and a small convenience store, which has all the necessities. I would recommend planning ahead, as there are no immediate shops in the area, so bring your food with you. there are 2 restaurants in the area, and a after ski hut for some late entertainment. We would recommend this chalet! And we hope to be back next year, or even coming for a visit in the summer time. Regards, Tamsin
